This dude just popped in here during ur sabbatical- really seems to know is shit been very helpful ! Thanx @N1ghtL1ght
Yeah I took note if that on the first post I read of his. I think I said something to the fact if I like you already lol.

I have a feeling I could learn a few things from him and he has my attention… and curiosity but I’m holding back my need to ask out of respect and we all know curiosity killed the cat so yeah… doing the best I can not to pry lol

Hey, seedlings are kinda leggy There’s way too many of them in the tent and the light is a little wonky so I’m guessing they’re trying to bend to the higher end of the spectrum because they also seem a little bendy. I have an off brand led grow light called toad and don’t really know the strength of the led light. I’m not sure if I should put it closer because I don’t want to kill the seedlings. I’m also too broke to afford a light meter. Any suggestions? I tried the lux meter app on the phone. I’m not sure how accurate they are. All the apps read different.
Add a lil more brighter light

Not so smart, spelled cotyledon incorrectly.🧐

prob Sensor placement and imo get the humidifier out of the tent. It has no time to mix with the air before being sucked out anyhow. Humidity the room tthat the tent is in.

where is your sensor placed pics please
It’s just chillin right there that’s the only sensor I have. I have the humidifier outside the tent now but it’s not doin much. My room is very hard to get humid because I live in Arizona lol.

Yeah that’s not going to be of much help and they are most definitely it transpiring enough to change it.

All you can do is work with what you have. While VPD is important I don’t think it’s worth the cost for you to invest into the amount of equipment to gain an accurate handle on it. Just roll with it and once they get bigger it will come more into line

Okay thanks👍🏻 This means I have to water more often though right? Is watering often still bad if they have less humidity?

You will but just go by the plants at this stage it won’t be any noticeable difference

The sun's rays lose intensity with distance according to the laws of physics (inverse square law). They don't originate from your window they originate from the sun so the difference in intensity from the sun to your window compared intensity from the sun to your window PLUS 1 meter is not perceivable. He says later on that with modern LED and HPS you don't need to have them close (which you probably didn't see)

With so many posts you shouldn't be spouting this nonsense all you need is a PAR meter and a light and you will see that moving the light higher lowers the light reaching the canopy. With your logic i could hang my lamps 2 meters above the canopy with no negatives.

And "this bafoon" is Robert Pavlis is a well-known speaker, and educator with over 40 years of gardening experience. As the owner and head gardener of Aspen Grove Gardens, a six-acre botanical garden, he grows 3,000 varieties of plants.
1 get a decent light
2 remove heat mat
3 get a fan
4 watch P levels
sound advice
Dude,
You seem. to have some knowledge but let me explain something to you about current glass manufacturing. We have these coating on glass for about the last 20 years or so for windows. It is called Low E Glass. It is pretty common to be on 2 of the 4 sides of a double pain window. Low E glass is basically a very thin layer that limits infrared and UV light going thru the glass pains. So while there is some talk about the spectrum. Putting a seedling behind a window with low E glass is actually going to tweak the spectrum in the seedlings favor. It would really be nice if we were all the the same page but throwing out insults to someone that has contributed so much to this site is just not COOL!!!!!!!

Sorry got another question. Should I have my exhaust fan on even tho it’ll bring my humidity down a lot or just leave it off

At that size just run it in the lowest. The whole point to it is to bring fresh co2 rich air in while exhausting the excess heat and humidity.

if your temps are good the plants are so small they dont consume much co2 nor produce much humidity

Thats why I run Inkbird control and AC Infinity control. I could control the exhaust fan and humidifier with the Inkbird ITC-608T. My set points are 80f / 60%rh right now in my 3x3 tent. My running week ave. is 76f / 58% RH. My ave. are a bit low because it's still getting pretty cool at night with my light 12/12 light cycle on at 10 am off 10 pm with the UVA light running for 10 hours of the 12/12. The 2x4 tent has two 3 day old seedlings in it with set points at 80f / 80%rh. Exhaust fan comes on once or twice in the afternoon because the 95 watt HLG 100 V2 I use for seedlings and early veg just dosent make much heat. So it's ave. for 3 days has been 78f / 79%rh. It's all about control. We have to control the water, feeding, light, temp and humidity. Good Luck!

Exactly what i use also

Do you know when A good time to transplant is? I’m only gonna transplant into 1 gallon pots because I don’t have much room. I also have no idea when I’m supposed to start adding nutes because I’m growing in 2 year old fox farms soil lol. @Aqua Man. Also a few seedlings stems are purple

Sometimes its genetic, sometimes its cool night ir overall temps and sometimes its due to high light.

if temps are good and its more pronounced on the sides exposed to the light then id lean light.

If it the entire plants or the shaded then look at temps.

if its the majority in shaded and light and temps are good then genetics.

rarely its a lack of phosphorus but rather an uptake issue or anthocyanin from genetics

Transplant depends a lot on media. Soils with organics need a larger volume when compared to say coco and synthetic nutrients

You mentioned you’re starting a grow system business?

will you be making any aeroponic chambers or kits or ?

When the bottom first leafs start Dieing off/yellowing

I’d ditch the fox farm and use a coco/perlite/peat/vermiculite mix

but you’re seedlings in soil in a solo cup should be fine for a week or two or 3 maybe, then you’ll need more space for organics to break down and feed the plant.
