yes i know but to us that are old enough to have smoked the old stuff and new stuff we know that doesn’t mean much,.. hell right now most of these testing facilities are being taken to court for falsifying thc test results even for mold etc.. the high is obviously about an entourage effect.. all this breeding just breeds out stuff to gain thc?
experience from what i can remember we didn’t get much mexican brick or colombian gold and when we did it was junk,.. the thai weed, hawaiian, panama red, red haired sensi, etc was mostly in a way like doing acid or mushrooms, the high, taste etc is night and day from anything today,.

Here you go. Even the mushrooms are stronger now. With breeding of strains like ape Avery enigma stuff has gotten crazy. I know I want to believe the old strains I smoked coming up were the best. When I was a kid my tolerance wasn’t very high either. I’m telling you guys take it off the plato you have it on it wasn’t that good. If it was it would still be around.

I was pulled over twice while smoking and neither time was I detained. I've always been fine to drive when smoking going back to first time in 76. I don't think it was all that strong back in the day. I vividly remember Skunk 1977 and GDP 2004 storming LA, OC & SD. Thai Stick, Hawaiian and Hash and drove fine on all of it. Speed and psychedelics made me drive even better, more in tune to all around me. Weed never hit me like that and I could do coke or Black Beauties, white crosses and smoke an oz and wouldn't feel the pot.

It's definitely different but I don't recall high being all that much different than today's strains, although I get high longer today.

I don't know man, that Sarsparilla at 30+% turned my crank and I made a bunch of hash and edibles for the next generation and they loved it, so there's that. Maybe it's just me, everybody feels stuff different maybe you're just more in-tuned with the changes. I have noticed everything prepackaged tastes different then it use to. Weird, but what do I know?

I think it might really boil down to region. I grew up smoking bricked weed being moved across the border in mass. It got you high, sure but it looked like shit. It was compressed and a motherfucker all the way around. Until the winter and that Christmas bud might show up. Then it's Mexican brick weed. Eventually kind became a thing and then chronic was everywhere. That's the marijuana black experience from 85 to present in AZ. The weed was fucking terrible next to what I buy today

Actually growing a supposed Acapulco Gold now. I recall Columbian Gold being good also.

I have some AG seeds i grabbed from barney’s on the recommendation here.

While i am waiting to see if it is close, i don’t have high (giggity) hopes. Strains have been so mixed, i doubt it will be super close to what i remember. The real test will be my uncle though, he is in his 70’s and used to smoke that all the time. He has more experience with that strain than i do.

Should be a fun grow. We will see how the genetics are. From what i remember, it was called gold for a reason….the goldish flower colors.

One thing I'd like to say on the new v. old weed. Everything has changed from the old days, including us. We all got old, and with that lost a lot of our innocence, imagination, and wonder. I used to host Street Fighter tournaments (the game not actual fights) at my apartment, and we'd all drink, toke, or both. Some of the guys who where 19-21 that smoked would get high like I remember being all those years ago. They'd trip out on the walls melting or spinning, everyone having massive northern lights tracers, "melting" into their chairs, and so on. I'd feel good and high, but not in another world high, and nothing close to that, lol. I took an almost 20 year break from bud so it definitely wasn't a tolerance thing for me. I can only get a glimpse of any of that with hash on my bud now.

moslty why i m gonna try some marrocan beldia.

smoked lot of marrocan hash, some weed and hash in amsterdam, african brick weed, carribean weed, grown some weed 20 30 years ago took a long break and i also feel like the weed i m growing now high is nothing like it was.
