I have ran vertical systems. The key is the light not the system. Super easy vertical system for you to try. 6 ft kiddie pool. line the inner rim with 5 gallon
smart pots at about every 15 degrees or so. hang the bare bulb vertically in the middle of the garden. Top feed the plants for the first month. after that, you can just dump into the pool and they soak it up overnite. every week I rotate the plants ( in place so that the backside gets light as well )
advantages to vertical: You get 360 degree direct light. No "top nugs" bud density should be the same, top to bottom. And you can grow LARGE plants effectively.
