Yeah im a min walk from a large lake keeps us a bit cooler but the humidity can get quite high hereActually I’m not a big swimmer myself but the cooler air coming off the water is great

what model are those audio monitors? do you like em? been in the market for some for a while (starting a motovlog and need to be able to post-master audio at a high level) and have been suffering from decision paralysis given all the offerings and huge range of price to quality in that market.Working on sensors and circuits for pc control. Basically a reconfigure and software reshuffle for the new hardware.
Grow will be controlled by custom software and hardware. Everything is prototyped out so don’t judge me on looks. Production will be much sexier.

Second that -- Scratch is a great intro language, and one can easily transition into the likes of Python or Ruby after gaining the fundamentals. He's 25 and has some big time hoytie toytie job developing for the communications industry.
I started a hackerspace back in 2011 for my kids and friends and it became a little business my wife ran. We taught kids how to write code, understand electronics, make their own circuit boards and populate them, we made robots and sent a weather ballon to space and recorded it and then used the onboard electronics to locate it and retrieve. Cool shit like that. I had a waiting list of kids as long as my arm. Once my kids got thru it tho, I lost drive to keep going with it.
So my oldest has been writing code since he was 8 probably. My youngest went another route, he is in college right now and is going the Chef route. We plan to start a food truck biz together (well, my money his effort and skill so really it's his) when he graduates. Didn't take to the electronics. Whatever makes them happy, you know?
EDIT to everyone, if you want to get kids started in software (really good jobs out there) show them Scratch from MIT. Sorta a drag and drop programming deal that gets them on track to understand software design

for sure! i'll be sharing it wherever I can and with whoever I can once it's going. The biggest problem I'm running into right now is getting the video editing software I'm wanting to use to cooperate with my GPU on Linux.Kid just got a big job at wps/fly racing (sponsor rep) make sure you link us up on the vlog even though ur on pavement ! That’s awesome. I hope your kids know how lucky they are. Props to you and the misses. He's 25 and has some big time hoytie toytie job developing for the communications industry.

I’ll let him know but I think he’s pretty happy. Just got his first team. Hiring is hard in this industry.Second that -- Scratch is a great intro language, and one can easily transition into the likes of Python or Ruby after gaining the fundamentals.
I love how you describe his job lol i too have a "big time hoytie toytie job" though I'm in the construction/fintech space. If your boy is entertaining new opportunities, let me know. My company is hiring like crazy. He already has a leg up in the hiring process simply because he shares my background. I started learning at 9 years old, took years to get to where I'm at now but best fucking decision I ever made was pursuing this passion.

I might end up biting the bullet and just installing dual boot Windows and quit torturing myself with dependency hell. Have this insane computer at my feet that I can't use for the purpose it's built simply because I refuse to slow it down by installing a Microsoft product on it haha
Awfully nice of you to say. Cheers. That’s awesome. I hope your kids know how lucky they are. Props to you and the misses.
how many shoes does a women need? lol!One of the height altering foot wrap holders. Small one for the front door. The other will be a big one for the makeup room. Just needs painted now….
Glad it worked cause I wasn’t sure when i thought it up. Real space saver this way
Well we have differing needs lol… lets just say she likes her foot wrapshow many shoes does a women need? lol!
nailed it. i just hate to taint this system with Microsoft. Rizen 9 3900, AMD RTX 6900XT, 128GB ram, 1TB NVME, 4TB SSD, 4TB HDD. Liquid cooled. monster machine built for a purpose, except Resolve won't fuck with Debian and the blackmagic forum has proven useless in terms of pointing me in a direction to figure out why Resolve won't play back any imported media. Tried different encodings, formats, digging through the docs and tweaking the settings. It's become a huge painpoint and frankly, a blocker to what I'm trying to do. Might just foot the $150 or whatever the license is now and install dual boot Windows 10. At least then I can get back into Adobe suite and quit fucking around with Inkscape and GIMP which imo are subpar to Illustrator and Photoshop by a loooooong shot.I’ll let him know but I think he’s pretty happy. Da Vinci resolve? Put it on a pc and bite the bullet. It’s all an the graphics card and driver matters.

EDIT: sorry for the rant. A lot of money and time invested in building this system, the fact the software I built it for won't cooperate is a sore point for me lol
