Morning growers:-) whatcha reckon on my buds? How long do you think i can leave them before harvest? I would say 80% of the trichomes are amber. All advice welcome:-)

Be sure to look at the trichomes on the buds, not the leaves.

It is hard to tell but I'd say they're darn close. I don't look at the trichomes every time. The pistils tell the story, too. Usually, the last to turn brown are the ones at the top of the buds. I don't wait that long to harvest.

Shoot if your viewing the trichomes and they are 80% amber way past harvest LOL but if you mean the white hairs that turned rusty red that's a good sign but the bulbs on the trichomes are what most judge readieness by.

Hey Galgrows,

Yes sorry you are right, I mean the hairs, the tricomes are mostly white rather than clear :-)

Hey I posted some more pictures they are better quality:-)

It's hard to tell from the pictures. You need to see the trichome head. But if most are cloudy you could probably give her another few days or a week.

Or u can chop them now if they're not clear. It's preference really.

I recently chopped mine and it could have gone another week probably but I grew impatient lol.

In our house, harvest time is a matter of collaboration and consensus. When ours look like yours, it becomes a day-to-day decision. It really is a matter of preference. Early harvests tend to provide an energetic high, while late-harvest highs are more relaxed. (That's the best way I can describe it, at the moment.) Keep in mind that upper buds will be more ripe than lower buds. We mix and grind our buds for vaping or tinctures, so it averages out.
