Are my seeds done for?

I planted 6/6 seeds 10 days ago give or take expecting 1 or 2 to die, because we ALWAYS lose seeds.
Last grow we were able to keep 4/10 alive. Sadly it looks like this grow we're going to have 2/6 alive.

We treated them all in the same conditions. Placed them in an incubator, kept at 80/80. Two sprouted out the second day.
The rest hadn't moved by day 7 so we dug and inspected. There were some taproots alive and well and we re-set them, but I think we may have drowned them.

I put them in a carboard box to dry the bottoms hoping they'll grow down and pop up, but is that likely after 10 days of nothing?

We ALWAYS have bad luck with seeds dying in droves. We can grow beautiful plants, but oddly it's this one thing we can't figure out and it should be the simplest.

We once did the paper towel method and gently put them in moist soil.
We once placed the seeds a fingernail depth in a pre-wet, but not dripping, pot of soil.

Every. Time. We lose a majority of our seeds which are really expensive and we're thinking of switching to cloning our plants to make it easier, but I'd still like to know.

Does anyone think these seeds have any chance left?
My plants in their dome under a full spectrum low wattage SpiderFarmer LED.
Watered with distilled (dehumidifier) water at 6.4pH, 80RH, 80F and Photone to measure the light to 12 DLI like it should be at this stage.

Does anyone have any recommendations, tips, or a YouTube video that will help a simpleton get a high success rate with seeds? People in Discord are telling me they're getting 90%+ survival rate so it's obviously my fault.

Hey brother maybe I can help a little. If you are having that hard of a time maybe you should try the float tek. Just throw your seed in a cup of water and let them stay there until the taproot is 1/2 inch. I've left them before until the root was inches. I believe this will help you tremendously. When you see a tap root of atleast a 1/2 an inch long, then carefully take it off the napkin set in your finger hole, with only the seed showing, after you put soil back in hole. Tablespoon of water, and there you go ! My method not everyone's. But, it's been 100 % success .

they're exactly the issue. the issue I asked about. but if you're just going to keep fighting about how tools dont work then you're not helping me and idk how you could claim to be.

I started out that way. Now I just soak them for a couple days until the root is decent then plant. One less step. It's 100% too. I've forgot a couple before that started growing in the water, fully submerged.

I make sure they grow, by putting the top of the seed sticking out the soil surface. I figured the napkin in the hole would constrict it a tad.
I just figured taproots need some air, that's why I only soak them for 15 hrs.
But, whatever works.

Did he ever solve his seed problem ?! He should have by now. He had about ten methods given to him.

I believe you’re just watering them way too much. Mold is growing already and thats not good, I would throw them out and start again. When I put my seeds in they are placed 1” max from the top of soil and i water a small circle in the middle just to get the seed wet. That works too. I've seen guys do all kind of stuff in their grow room with great results.

It sometimes happens to me if I don't plant it deep enough so was just curious if you experience the same.

About 20 % do that to me, so I use my tweezers to help it. It usually doesn't take much to pry it off.

I kind of feel like a surgeon sometimes. Or if I'm trimming, that requires some touch. Trying to get at leaves in the middle of the plant, without disturbing the tops. Especially if they got thricolms all over it.

One thing you'll discover about online weed forums is a lot of people on these are babies masquerading as adults. Toxic mf-ers filled with hate. Personally I recommend overgrow.com I think it's the chillest forum. Good luck! Btw I love using tools and think it's ridiculous to ridicule them and believe only small minded people would do that. GROK ANGRY!!!

You might want to tell your freind, that people might know something his tools dont. So, it's OK to use both. Thank you but I disagree. I prefer to have my grow down to a science eventually to where it will never fail and if it does only minorly. I'm not a huge believer in winging it. Giant indoor farms don't wing it, they have strict rules to follow at every step of the process to produce quality stuff.

We also have been learning from our many mistakes, and tools have helped us solve that.

PPM meters told us the plants were overfed OR not eating due to something else.
pH meters tell us if the plants are in dangerous levels.
VPD/Humidity/Temperature in check has had our plants noticeably greener and healthier looking.
Light meter actually stopped us from burning our plants which we didn't know we were doing and at the very least gives us a gauge to go by. If it isn't the right amount of light we'll know the number needs to be higher or lower next time, and repeat.

Like I said, we grow beautiful plants. We just have never had luck starting seeds.

You cant be growing ‘beautiful plants’ if you can’t do the simple task of germination. Listen to what your fellow growers are saying instead of doing the same stupid things over and over again. Lots of info out there but you refuse to read a goddamn thing
