i like that saying @chemistry 😁Carry on as you are, you still have plenty of muff left to turn cinnamon, plants look fine. 👍

Hi @Madmax hipe you’re well mate . I fecked up on the ventilation, I was meant to order bigger extraction fans but forget , so for now I have 6inch in and out , I know from speaking to others ( mainly @RootsRuler ) that’s it’s way to little . I did know this this but forgot to upgrade as all I could get at the time was 6 inch . I have an 8 inch coming in the next 2 days which I will run along the 6 inch for output , but I’m concerned that that no matter what I pull out of the room the air coming in is always 70-80rh . How do I deal with that ?Just back off your feed a bit if your getting tip burn.they got some size to them man..pretty heavy yielding this lsd strain..can you afford to add heat to the grow and do you have your exhaust setup up on an ink bird etc…if you add heat your nominated temp you have set gets reached quicker before your humidity gets too high and is exhausted out.. .only other way to control is with a big ass dehumidifier somewhere between 500-800 watts would work in that size room..I have a mate that grow 6+pound and uses an 800watt and he doesn’t get any probs at all..I’m using 2x 250watt in my 5x5 room and is keeping the rh at bay.
Yeah that is a problem..an ac could help..there is a few ways but it all costs money lol..you can’t skimp on a good dehumidifier either as you will most likely purchasing a bigger one to do the job later..I have put 3 hepa filters on a box I made outside of the passive vents to stop mold spores entering the room.I had to run 3 because the hepas weren’t rated too high in cfm capacity.there are 6 to 8’ filters available that will stop 98% of airbourne particals@Madmax i will upgrade the dehumidifier. I can only get what is on lazada here in Thailand . There was a beefy unit that needed to use a trip or something so I had no idea how to install it and I can’t get someone out to do it just yet , but will do in the future
thanks mateYeah that is a problem..an ac could help..there is a few ways but it all costs money lol..you can’t skimp on a good dehumidifier either as you will most likely purchasing a bigger one to do the job later..I have put 3 hepa filters on a box I made outside of the passive vents to stop mold spores entering the room.I had to run 3 because the hepas weren’t rated too high in cfm capacity.there are 6 to 8’ filters available that will stop 98% of airbourne particals
entering but after 3 months that efficiency reduces to bout 87%,I have a couple on standby when the hepas clog up as you can’t clean these ones…defoliating more can help too I dont take the top 2 sets of fan leaves but you can take ones off down further.that will help airflow too.they appear to have 3-4 to go I’d say..they look real nice 👍
Evening all
I’ve had a few problems since sprouting these but this is them today , 6 weeks old . They seem to have improved over the last week . I have had a lot of help from @Aqua Man , @mysticepipedon , @Madmax , @Moe.Red and a few others and I thank you all very much 🙏
, sorry if I forgot anyone .
I have pruned the bottoms and removed the leaves that I had issues with .
Some are only 13 inches tall , others are 16 inches . Grown in coco . 5 gallon fabric pots .
LSD is the strain .
The 2 tables are 8x4 foot and I have a mars hydro fce-4800 for each 4x4 . I have 21 plants , I will probably do 5 under each light ( struggling with how to space them out too )
It’s my first grow in many years and I don’t really know how big these might get . Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks View attachment 1299631 View attachment 1299637 View attachment 1299636 View attachment 1299635 View attachment 1299634 View attachment 1299633 View attachment 1299632 it's really a preference but I would flip
One of the things I like about tent design is that they mount the air inlets from the bottom assuming you'll be hanging your fan from the ceiling. This allows fresh air to pull through the entire garden. As long as you can do the same for your garden then I think you're good with air flow both in volume and direction.thanks mate
i have installed the 8 inch today and it has brought the humidity down to about 55 on 2 of my meters and 32 on the others ( i know they are miles apart ) . this is how the room is set up now :
air out = 6inch + 8 inch
air in = 6 inch
18 inch wall fan for the top of the canopy , 16 inch on the floor trying to move air underneath , 2 small fans in the corners where the wall fan misses .
small dehumidifier
i have air con on in the grow room 24/7 keeping it at around 22c-23c
the fresh air is being pulled from the living room where i have the air con on 24/7 at around 22c-23c
i have only just started using the living air con to try to bring in less humid air to the room .
tomorrow i will see if i even need the air con on in the grow room , but would anyone else have a suggestion for a better way to set up the airflow ?
the air in is pointing to the opposite side of the room as to where the air out is

tomorrow i will move the meters around and see how it goes .What is the outside RH? Your inside should be vaguely close to it. This is how I would weed out(no pun intended!) the good from the bad readings although I would place the hygros around the tent as has been suggested to see if the issue is more placement related.
Everything else sounds proper so as long as the room is regulating to where you want it to be and you're able to manipulate RH and Temp inside your environment then you are golden!!!!
thanks @RootsRuler![]()

"The key difference between humidity and relative humidity is that humidity is the amount of water vapor present in the air at a given moment whereas relative humidity is the ratio between the amount of water vapor present in the air and the amount of water vapor required to saturate the air.
Humidity represents the amount of water vapor in the unit gram per cubic meter (g/m3). However, we express the relative humidity as a percentage value. It is a subcategory of humidity which includes absolute humidity, relative humidity, and specific humidity."
What I take from this is that humidity is the amount of water vapor at a given moment whereas relative humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air and how much more it would take to completely saturate the air. This sort of goes hand in hand with VPD(Vapor Pressure Deficit).
If your meter is reading out as a percentage, it’s reading relative humidity. Absolute humidity will generally be expressed as mass/volume, like grams/cubic meter. I would be surprised if that’s the case, but I get surprised daily. My gut is that it’s meter placement or just a questionable meter. I have had a few.so i am just trying to read and understand about relative humidity versus humidity and i have successfully failed to understand it :)
might it be that the meters are measuring different types of humidity , some are measuring humidity and some are measuring relative humidity ?
This just helped me in so many ways lol. Ive been beating my head against the wall trying to dial in vpd and just couldnt understand it. I now think i get why i wasnt getting it right. It helps when you understand how temp and rh work together 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣If your meter is reading out as a percentage, it’s reading relative humidity. As a general comment, if you are struggling to keep your humidity under control in your space, you might consider elevating the temperature a couple degrees if you can without getting too far out of range. Warmer air with the same amount of moisture in it will have a lower relative humidity. Because it’s capacity to hold moisture is higher, its percentage of saturation will decrease as the air warms. I have used a few CFL‘s or other tricks to raise my temperature a couple degrees when I want to reduce my rh below what my environment wants to give me. Some times of the year, it’s just a challenge where my grow is located. If I am having any issues with humidity, I prefer it to be warmer anyway. My experience with moist and cool conditions has been very bad. A little too moist but warm and still within VPD, much better. Just my rambling two cents
