I apologise for the blurry photos's but every time I take a 35x zoom picture they get really bad. It takes 1-2 seconds to take the picture that close, and I cant hold the Microscope steady for that long.

Anyway I am towards the end of week 8 and the buds are looking pretty good. Question is, how far from harvest am I?

Some pic's show missing heads but overall it appears to me they need more time..... still loads of white hairs.

well from the 4th n 5th picks tric shots id say they look like there just starting to amber so maybe the next few days keep a close eye on em, but it depends how you like it, right now it looks practicly done n like nearly 10% ambered off to me n in the next few days i would say it would be best for flavour to chop at like 30 to 40% as i find after like 60% amber, they start losing the kinda tasteyness they have n start turning more into a blander tasting but knock you on your ass type product, i usually cut some at 30% and some at like 70% about 4 days or so after so i have the flavour n slight uplift when i want and the knockout buzz when i want other times, like bedtime :) strains differ though so it may be be slightly longer you never know, whats the stated flower time? and how long they been?

Thank's guys. I will keep a close eye on the and post some more pictures.

Your help is most appreciated.

Thank you.

Ps. It's G13+Hash plant from Sensi seeds. (See the diary for more info)

il second vote that lol :banana1sv6: epecially if thats really her in that beautiful pic, and that also looks like a beautiful spliff she has hangin outa her mouth, and the beauty of her ladies..dammm.. its all natural beauty, i love it.. :cool0041:

I would let them go another 10-14 days but I like my weed drop dead Stoney.. U should pick a nug & see if u like it.. A few small buds should dry in a few days.. It's all about how u like ur weed..

There are too many white hairs on the buds and the nugs look really fluffy still. How many days into flower are you?

to me it looks like a lot of the heads are still clear, with very few if any ambers. mr. nice (g13xhashplant) is an indica dominant strain, so i feel like it would be best represented in a later harvest, with a larger proportion of amber heads (at least 20-30% if it were me). this also gives more time for some of that lovely flavor and aroma to develop. but of course its all preference. so yeah, my vote is another week or two, keeping an eye on the color of the heads. your plants look nice and healthy tho good job and good luck with harvest.

Thank you all.

I will post some new pictures in a few days...

Are they ready ? ...depends how ya like your weed. DJ Short talks of a 7 to10 day peak window which is optimal. A loupe is a must. (30x to 60x).

Some more closeups from today.

I guess is they still got another week to go. Still looks mostly clear to me.

Any thoughts?

Ps. I wish I could get some more zoomed closeup, but my USB cheap microscope cam sucks :(

Those look like great close ups 2 me.. Great pics yea i also see lots of clear i would guess 7-10 more days.. But I would still pick some Lil nuggs & test how Stoney they r rite now i always like 2 check how they smoke at different weeks

A 40-60x loupe will zero in on those bulbous heads of the trichromes. That is where I like to focus in to determine ripeness. You can then clearly differentiate whether they are clear or cloudy. The amber is easier to see, even with less magnification. I like to see the stalks of trichromes stretched out nice and tall as well (thats quite evident in yours) I have also read where you watch and see the weight of the heads starting to droop over a bit as they fully ripen. Do not be fooled by viewing the brown color of the pistils (stigmas) and the brown leaf matter as being amber trichromes. They sometimes give a false impression. Your pictures are a bit tough to tell whther they are ready as they all look cloudy to me but I'd bet that's due to low magnification and blurred photos. If you watch the buds closely (even with the naked eye) you can easily see when they start to shut down, the hairs start to lay down and the bud no longer grows.

Personally I like to see just a few amber tri's here and there. If its a sativa strain I Like to harvest on the clear side and for indica strains I like them to be cloudy with more amber colors. Sativa/Indica strains ...somewhere in the middle.

Invest in a good scope. You got a killer crop going there. :)

disclaimer: everything I said may be false.

Hell what are you taking these pictures with,Looks awesome !
