So this goes out to all the people who use National Grid as their power provider...however other companies might have this too...


I recently agreed to have Naional Grid install a new SMART METER to my house... ever since the new meter has been installed... my power bill has dropped 100 bucks for same amount of usage....

I highly urge to have your Meter switched to a smart Meter if possible!!!

Bad thing about the smart meters is they read the "equipment signature" used, so if your not in a legal state this is a surveillance system, it will read brand/type/model of the appliance used - it will also be used to measure carbon footprint too - carbon tax. Be Careful Folks...

everyone should watch the documentary- “the internet of everything”
especially the part about china.. the whole city is built on a wifi grid, which basically means someone has control of your entire life and what you do and what and how much you can use.. absolutely insane..
by the way i have a smart meter as well..

Dude I'm a part of the Amazon Vine program where I get to try shit out for "free" (I have to pay taxes on everything I get, Amazon 1099's me at the end of the year, which is bullshit) but anyway, I've noticed a continuing theme among many electronic products on Amazon.

This especially goes for the IP cameras and LED "Smart" lightbulbs and similar items.

I have serious issues with the fact that the APP for EVERY one of these devices REQUIRES your location services to be turned on, and will NOT work without it! Why does China need to know the exact location of my smart light bulb and/or IP camera?

Personally, I think they're selling us a surveillance system. Except we are the surveilled.

I will say this only I worked in Amazon aws and iot IS a surveillance tool and pretty easy to hack. So someone could just turn your fucking oven on and shit seriously I try to stay away from a lot of tech as I worked in it and now I'm fully paranoid af.
