Auto pot system cons and pros?

We have been using Auto Pots for a little over a year and are on our 4th run using them. We have six 6.9G pots and six 3.9G pots spread out over 3 tents. They're all hooked up to the same 25G res. We run them all 50/50 perlite/coco, no clay pebbles and no air stones. If you wanna see our current run you can check it Here.

What we have come to find is that if your run goes off without issue then it really goes off. If there are problems it can be harder to recover from compared to a DTW system. Our previous run had issues that we thought were due to lock-out. We tried to flush, which is very hard and time consuming in the AP system and it really didn't help much. We eventually found out, through the guidance of Dr.Green55 that we actually just starved the shit out of them, but live and learn.

As far as how the system itself. We now run a live system with Jack's 3-2-1. There is build up in the res and in the lines, but nothing that would have any negative affect on the systems functionality. We do clean it out after every run, but that amounts to just putting a couple gallons of 12% Hydrogen Peroxide with 6 gallons of RO water and turning on the system. We scrub the res and trays out, but that's it. The lines are usually clean after running H202 solution through it.

Hopefully that helps!

Hi, I've just started a grow with auto pots, I bought the 4 pack xl and I have them in a spiderfarmer 3x3 with an SF g3000 light. I'm new to auto pots but I have a couple of friend on here that's grown with them in the past and they're about 2 weeks ahead of me.

I just transplanted my 4 girls into the pots and I'm just waiting to start them up. I intend using General hydroponics 3 part in the res, not sure how it will go as its my first try with them.....

My girls are about 5 weeks in veg I'm going at least 2 more weeks before I flip them to flower........Anyways good luck there's a few of us you can watch the progress if you so desire.

as far as synthetic or organic the plants can't tell the difference, and you can't tell a synthetically grown plant from an organic......its all marketing and in your head....plants absorb ions and they can't tell the difference, nitrogen is nitrogen phosphorus is phosphorus, organic or synthetic its all the same
?

I ok would do a living organic soil. It does really well with bottom watering. When I free up my small tent I plan on doing a grow that will be a water only all the way through flower. I plan on using city picker pots and build a soil 3.0 recipe.

The only con I see with the Autopots is the bottom feed and your dependent on the feed wicking up the media.
Not completely, you CAN flick a check valve & top water as often as you like…it doesn’t HAVE TO BE bottom feed ONLY 🤷‍♂️
