Good evening my favourite potheads.

Ive posted here before about this specific grow when I started seeing some issues.
It turned out the advice I got to buy a PH meter probably saved my whole grow.

Ive got 2 do si dos autos in 15l pots of plagron growmix under a mars hydro ts1000.
Im on day 75 now and preflower explosive growth started on day 33.
I started noticing newer growth kept getting lighter/yellow untill eventually brown necrotic spots took over half of the top portion of leaves.

I measured runoff PH as soon as it arrived and it read 5,3.
I flushed with 10l of tap water at ph 7,5 untill the runoff got to 5,9 for the big plant and 6,1 for the smaller less damaged plant.

I feel like theyre recovering since im starting to see some very small green sugarleaves emerging out of the buds of the rightside plant that was heavily affected.

I guess what I really wanted to ask the more experienced growers here:
-what do you estimate the total yield at considering the 1-2week ph stress?

-does it look like the rightside plant will still decently develop buds?

Specifics runoff:
After giving a nutrient dose i measured runoff at ph5,3 and ec at 2100.
I left it at that untill the soil dried and after a week untill it was halfway dry I gave
10l tapwater each at ph7,5.

Untill eventually runoff said 5,7-5,9ph and ec 1100-1400.

Apparently runoff PH in soil is lower than the ph in the actual runoff so I would think the actual rootzone ph is closer to 6,2 in the worse affected plant.

Hey AutoMisery, where are all her fan leaves?

Hey AutoMisery, where are all her fan leaves?
They went on to God’s tent.
No seriously most of the fan leaves died due to the necrotic brown stuff.

Usually this happens to me at the end and very slowly but now it just all turned crispy in 10days time.

The good thing is that im seeing some new green growth out of developing buds because 2 weeks ago the entire top 1/3th of the plant was yellow

Gotcha. How many weeks into flower are you?

Now on day 75
The first little white hairs on the stems became visible on day 33.
Rapid preflower growth reached its peak around day 36-50

Nice. Almost ready to chop I would say
The left one yeah kinda, its developing a nice layer of trichomes and you can really see the buds have swolen a bit already.

The bigger one on the right still has very thin buds with very long white pistills sticking out everywhere.

My guess would be 2weeks for the one on the left and maybe 3 or more weeks for the right one.
What do you think?

I agree, also depends what you are looking for in your high. I myself like a nice couch lock.

Max THC leaning more to the amber side.

I havent found any scientific evidence that shows more CBN really adds to the tired/couchlocked feeling so I just try to focus on what we know for certain.
Wich is that more THC makes the boogeyman scared lol

I got some Nitrogen pigs in the tent now.
My first 2 were pretty rough. Before I got a handle on it lost all fans and it started on sugar leaves at week 2 flower.
Here is what I had left at the end. 2 plants not much more than 4 oz.
So

So many mistakes but the next 2 were much better and I have 7 in 2 tents now.

How does the excess nitrogen affect the bud density btw?
I always read that heavy nitrogen during bud production made them more airy and light

Also since your account looks pretty experienced could you give me a rough yield estimate for the 2 plants?
My guess would be 40g for the left one if it still swells a bit
And the right one could be anywhere from 30-80g since its hard to tell now how dense the buds will still get.

I would like to compare my guess to more experienced growers so I can have some sort of clarity about how big of a bag I should buy now to get through the winter 😂

Sure, do I post the progress in this thread?

I could take some more pictures next week so you could see the development if youre interested.
Im probably watering tomorrow or the day after so I can give a PH and EC update then

Ok If you want to look over my last grow journal it has the whole deal watts and all.
I ran out and got some EWC as I grow Organic and really did a much better job. The big tall plant went 90 grams but it was a pain to deal with the hight and the side lighting.
My current grow has a nutrition change and all kinds of improvements I made over the last grow.
Just search my name...

I have not yet broken the dense bud secret club. If you are trying to get that rock hard trimmed with a belt sander dispensary weed you can have that shit. Mine ( and yours 😎) will be nice fresh cured cannabis that when left in a tray for 2 hours breaks into nice spiff weed and when you put a torch to the red hairs they sizzle.

Ill look into your history brother.
I also learned so much from this grow its hard to even sum it all up. Most comes down to new equipment I bought that makes everything easier like fabric pots and PH/EC meters.

Im genuinely not trying to get those dense buds that you can throw at someone’s face like a snowball, ive never liked those coffeeshop buds that are just one dense ball of weed.
I think those kind of buds are only possible with PGR bullshit and such.
I like that natural density that you can not see through them and have some weight in your hand when holding it but not that you cant press them.

But could you give an estimate of my 2 plants maybe? Im really curious to see what other people estimate since last time I asked a yield estimate here the people that answered me were actually spot on while I expected double

I can see after zooming in what you mean. This is from low nitrogen and I made the same mistake but I did amend my soil.
It does not look like much of a harvest. Prolly 30 grams on the really hurt one and prolly 50 on the second.
If yer in coco or chemical nutes you can still get some more nutes into it. If in soil organic anything you put in will take 10 days to help.

Its plagron growmix soil. I use mineral nutrients so they should be available immediately after watering with them.

Idk 30g for the one on the right seems very low considering it has so many budsites but l said the same thing last grow when people told me it would be an ounce and I expected double so you might be right.

How would giving more flower nutrients make the buds bigger if the issue ive had was acidic roots?
The low PH inhibits the roots of taking up certain nutrients but its not that nutrients in the soil are depleted

Tbh 30 and 50 would still be very acceptable for me considering my last grow with 2autos got me 30g in total (15g per plant).
This couldve been a great harvest without the stress but atleast I learned alot

In order to get the swelling you are looking for nitrogen needs to be supported until mid flower. When you start seeing the bracts swelling that is what puts the weight on.

Until you get the nutrition and lights dialed the buds will not form up like these.
