I know I'm a little late to this but there was a big thing on the Internet about the bay11 being Appalachia that won the cup but then after the cup and seeds were made
There is no Appalachia in it.. So it's more of a false ad for what won at the cup to what people are actually growing. Bodhi commented on this as well

There was alot of confusion on this. NW_GDP post on another site explains. Hope this helps some. Bay11 at 28 days in my 12x12 room looks very good so far. Take a look at the pics on this post of bay11 very nice.

BAY 11: Strain info. and PICS!
We used a cut that was obtained from Bodhi named Appalachia (Green Crack x Tres Dawg) and hit it with our male OG Kush from one of our breeders up north. The male that was used was very special, we had to convinced this old timer that we were not going to give it out. He was using this male to cross all the new kush strains up north.

It came out very sativa. Thin/mid size leaves. Yet stocky branches. Grew very tall, high yielding, with little signs of kush characteristics. The First couple batches were okay, but we noticed that the plant was very light sensitive. They started foxtailing at about 80-82 degrees. After adding another AC and another intake, we started to see significant improvement in the grow cycle. We also moved the lights higher to around 2.5-3 feet away from the plants and with a constant 72-75 deg. temp 24hrs. The plants got taller, the colas form a circled cylinder look. Totally different from the foxtail thing that it did before. There we can tell that the plants are not stressing out at all. We run it 10 weeks because the plant looks like its still growing by the time all the hairs are orange. The Colas are covered in THC and extremely sticky!!!

Flowering time: 10 weeks
Very high yield: 1.75-2/1000w

Let me just say when ken and the rep was aske by bodhi the reply was "there is no Appalachia in bay 11" like the strain that won the cup.. Do like I said its like a false ad.. At least this is what bodhi is saying.

The Appalachia cut won the cup renamed as bay 11 so bay 11 seeds are not appalachia what won the cup.
To be honest you can find bodhi on plenty of forums and this story in particular is on every grow forum.

i when to the LA kush Expo a few weeks back the GDP vendor told me that bay 11 had won and i bought a pack.. but now that the genetics arent what they seem im wondering what will come out from those seeds..

whats up NW_GDP_REP when i attended the LA Kush Epxo... a few weeks back the rep at the GDP booth told me that GDP was the originator of GSC.. i asked a few times just to make sure i was hearing Right... He even gave me a flyer and he showed me all scarcaticly "see what does it say here" he was rude to me but i still bought a pack of bay11... the only reason i bought them cuz i was curious to find out what bay11 really is and they were only $40... he kept brushing me off and he even had a jar of GSC it didnt even smell cured right... not a cool Rep... I give u my respect for owning up to ur mistakes...

I truly wish I was there to hear that... which individual said that? I am making a call now. If they think that spewing retarded, falsified info like that is gonna help anything, they are sadly mistaken.
I can only think of one character who would say that, he's newer to the team, obviously doesn't know shit about genetics, or GSC for that matter.
OK... So the flyer you saw, is GARBAGE. We fired a person who was working with us on the labeling, genetics, and write ups. He screwed up a ton of stuff leaving mass confusion and a mess to pick up. DO NOT PAY ATTN. TO THAT FLYER. We have a GSC cross coming out very soon, but the remake of GSC with Kens Kush, durban and GDP or whatever, is NOT HAPPENING.
For one GSC is F1 Durb x Florida OG or Flo Ridah OG??? No GDP in there, they say.

We took the GSC cut known as the "forum" cut and crossed it to our Phantom (Cherry Pie x GDP)
"Phantom Cookies" will be out here soon. As far as Ken's Cookies goes... I HOPE THEY DON'T DO IT. With all the mass confusion among strains already, I think it's a bad move to use the same name in a differently worked cross. It won't be the same.

We have like 6 new strains coming out shortly.

yeah forgive him man, he's from riu and the seed collectors crew, i guess he feels whatever they discuss is gospel and dictates who's in and who's out.
but i've seen plenty of threads in post in regards to this issue and it seems like B and H&L isn't too happy how this whole thing unfolded.

until this was brought into light almost all that wasn't in the know was misled, so all the drama and dissonant display of behavior shouldn't come to any surprise to you or others surrounding you from the Ken crew. on top of that i think being a rep for a new company you would display more of a business like manner rather than speaking with all these emotions, because far as anyone knows the customers were duped not you guys. funny thing is that you'll are more upset about people complaining more so than the people that was duped into spending their money on genetics that wasn't or isn't what they paid for and that's what you're seem to be missing.

hope all gets sorted out and good luck and success to those who brought packs, esp at 100+ for genetics that are unknown.

You are right I was not part of that convo but I do know bodhi said that was his cut Of h&l Appalachia that won the cup and was renamed bay 11.
Yeah I might be ou of line saying that the bay 11 seeds now don't have Appalachia in it as that was just a rumor when I looked back. Sorry about that one.
But my thing is that it's not the strain the won the cup that people think they are growing its a cross of it. Could and should be good..
