Planted in March harvested in October. Still too hot and too quick for proper drying. Can I plant in October (outside) so the dry is much cooler in January or February?

If you're in Arizona, you could do that with autoflowers. Photoperiods will flower as soon as they're sexually mature with the short fall/winter days.

I’ve seen people try it! Plant in December harvest in April! A couple of them were all thrilled! In my opinion, the plants looked like junk! Lack of adequate light! Won’t cost you much to try! Go for it!👍

I harvested about a week later. Could I have waited longer?

Yup I think what Galgrows just said is excellent advise for all.
I just got back indoors from my early AM check & after looking I had to play “which ones next?” I still haven’t decided but once I do there are no further questions or second thoughts, your plants & your decision live and learn and screw all the opinions…

I have lived by live and learn. But a little advice now and then is helpful. Why is there this site then?

You are right getting information is really important but once you’ve used that information and made your decision it’s done.
Keep some notes on your experience each season and refer back to them and compare to what you hear on the air waves to help make sense of it all is my point-
