Today after 6weeks of growing my first crops I have noticed a bad eggy smell.

I woke up and straight away could smell something so when I opened my closet grow it just became stronger... Is this bad or just part of a process? It did smell pretty bad.

It was around the same time that my lights switched on and I never seem to get a bad smell when the lights are on..

There is a case where chemicals in the water can react with, possibly mg, to make egg smell. (Forgot which chemical but likely sulfuer.) There is also an egg smell associated with over watering/root rot. Maybe more that's what came to mind. Do ither of those sound possible?

Gosh I'm high, hope that made sense.

Could just be too much moisture in the air.i assume u dont have a carbon filter?do u have any kind of extractor?also if your useing organic nutes and theres any of it left lieing stagnant anywere in the grow room under the hot lights can giv off a really bad smell.

Too much moisture will lead to a moldy smell more so than rotten eggs. Rotten eggs indicates hydrogen sulfide is forming, and that indicates very anaerobic conditions. It's a very distinctive odor if you've never smelled it, but once you do, you will never forget it. Don't ask how I know!

Thank you I've cleaned out my room and hoovered it all now hopefully nothing bad

Have you checked your roots? It could be rotting down there.

What type of water are you using? I had some well water that smelt like rotten eggs

Being late into the flower, it may be some of the products you are using, perhaps too much...

Given that this was posted in early April, I think chances are he's way too late in flower to do much of anything about this problem. :)
