That's why I married Dave. But, he's married. :p

@Neter Sentra -- Blaze is a personal friend of mine and his advice is gold. I'm going to suggest that unless you live in a place like the Mojave, don't block sunlight if at all possible.

Not to mention the cheap covers do not save you money in the long run. If you have to replace it every year (or twice a year like you do the cheapo plastic you get at the hardware store) the cost is actually more. Plus if you use a cover that is not UV treated it start to crumble apart into all these little tiny pieces of plastic that get EVERYWHERE that are a nightmare to clean up.

Thank you all for the advice! I actually live in far south east Colorado. Ended up purchasing 6mil %60 diffused IR AD plastic.

Most important in greenhouse...
Ventilation...
Can get thermostats to turn on exhaust fans sucking air out at desired temp..
Another to open louvered intakes to allow air to draw into house..
Another fan inside to move air around...
When you end up replacing all I can say is Solex save up it will pay for itself in durability and the UV reduction is idea for Colorado. have had ours for 10 years still as awesome as day one...

Idk, they were extra lights I bought off a friend. He runs about 60 of these and truly destroys it. I've got 2 dimlux on the way but with 5 weeks to wait and a new room to fill I couldn't pass up for $200 and six bulbs. They run cooler than any light I've used and are bright! We shall see.

Yea I framed it and ran my 240v line I've got 60 amp of 240v in this room and 30 amp of 110v. I'm hoping once I get the funds to have 4 630cmh over the whole thing or maybe just 2 630cmh and a 1k hps idk yet we shall see, I've still got about another 2 grand I've gotta spend to get my greenhouse ready to roll. Tommorrw I've gotta get my plastic down on the floor and paint the walls with Killz then I'm ready to go full tilt boogie.

Sounds good I'll let ya know, they are killer lights without an exhaust I had both run over an hour in this room and they never broke 74 degrees. Super bright. And I agree I love to twerk while I grow!;-p

If you have limited space I've found nothing close to the cmh, maybe l.e.d. But I've just never been sold on them, if I had the headspace I'd go with gavita de fixtures, well idk I'd prolly mix de with the cmh.....hmm maybe a 750de and 630 cmh.....pondering....idk. the cmh are the future in my mind, de close behind. But the de fixtures are just to hot for limited space grows especially where I'm at in the summer without serious cooling demands.
