View attachment 649286 I just made these with classics Ice x jaclyn and sweet tooth! The sweet tooth is a fucken beast and it purples on some phenos at weeks 7-8-9 of flowering.
View attachment 649287 View attachment 649288 View attachment 649289 Just so you can see i am actually trying to "do work" for us in the pollen saving community. My varietals are so far so good kinda mentality. Most certainly dont mind sharing either!

Nice. I too received my bagseed stash from my local dealer. He saved any seed he came across. Ensuring much variety between seeds. While also showing me the local genetics.

I started with much bagseed and gave away half. I haven't popped any purchased seeds yet.

I'm still popping bagseed and seeds gifted to me from others.

While there can be gems.
So far my most frosty plant was the SDXQ which was known genetics.
It was/is a step above my bagseed plants.

It just proved to me that even though a dialed in environment can grow good looking bagseed.

Some good genetics from a good breeder will be a notch above in that same environment.

I wish I had the time and space for breeding. I think I would be a good at it with how detail oriented and meticulous I am/get.

I drew up some plans for my closet tent.
20161130 182304

I drew the diagram of what is needed. Then made a list required items.

Everything with a checked box, item has been bought today or I already have it.

Here are the measurements of my closets dimensions.
Downloadfile 1

I made this image in my planning thread 1st page. It should give a good idea of what I'm working with.

Just a few more small things and I'll have everything I need on the way.
Can't wait :)

I know it's already on my list (bottom right on the paper). But I have to run power to the room.

I added up some of the wattage.
The 24watt × 8 bulb T5= 192 max
The inline fan (canfan s 400 4")=75
Heat Mat= 40 watts
That's the majority of the power right there totalling 307 watts.

I was looking at extension cord types and I'm gonna get a 12g heavy duty outdoor cable rated for 1800+ watts.
It's overkill considering its a 307 watt system lol. But as far as safety while offering me expandability in the future. It is the best choice.

It will go,
Kill-A-Watt>extension cord>surge protector>electronics.

Other powered things I may add depending on what's needed. Like a clip on fan to keep the closet airspace a homogeneous temperature.
Or a 2nd inline to control closet temps. That would add approx 100 watts for those 2 things.

I'm battling options of what I can and want to do.

I want to set up my 2nd tent to be its own unit like my main one. Everything it does happens inside itself. Separating it from the outside room it's in (closet).

I already ordered the inline and the carbon filter for it. Carbon filter will have to be inside the tent. It will have to cycle air constantly if I'm flowering. To keep negative pressure and all air being scrubbed.

What this means during the cold winter months is that if vented directly to outside. All my heat would constantly be exhausted. While being replaced by cold air sometimes in the negative temps.

So next evolution is to just vent into the closet during winter which is a great idea. Air in tent gets scrubbed while exhausted heat builds up in the closet. Eventually the space is warm.

But if the space gets too warm it needs a fresh air influx. So a 2nd inline would come in handy while on its own thermostat controlling closet temps.

The 1st inline would scrub the tent and cycle warm air into the closet. The 2nd would control closet temps.

This option would give me most control over the closet environment. But the furnace bypass always exists.

This seems like a reasonable option. That's because this last option requires cutting holes in the walls somewhere.

Last option is most ideal electricity wise. Cut (2) 4" holes in the wall connecting the furnace room to an adjacent room. Then install 4" flanges to them (one high, one low) . Mount the tents intake duct to the lower flange. Mount the exhaust duct to the upper flange. This would cost no extra electricity, and would require no extra heat. It will contribute heat to the house.

This plan is most ideal. Might remove the need for a heating mat. It makes the tent it's own self reliant day+night environment separate from the closet. Allowing the furnaces fresh air vent to draw in cold air as needed bypassing the tent environment. I just can't bring myself to cutting holes in the walls lol.

My apt does have tile ceilings. Maybe I could cut the holes higher up for the ports. They wouldn't show anywhere but the furnace room If I'm able. I will investigate today.

The original planned vents on the drawing also still stand. This is because I will need to open vent during the summer months. I will need to be able to alternate between home air and outside air by switching ducting from flanges to flanges.

Sorry I'm rambling. I just need a good solid understanding of all configurations and what they all bring to the picture. So I can choose the most efficient method for my relative situation.

When, not if, you start breeding I'll be in line to run some testers :) I'm still trying to figure out a male isolation chamber so that I can chuck a little pollen. I definitely want to f2 all my breeder packs and maybe even do some f1 crosses for the fun of it. In time.....

Here is an update on seedling street.
Today we have a special guest.

About a week ago she found out how warm it is inside the tent. The morning after, she was laying in front of the lower chambers door. I woke up and saw her there. As I approached she meowed. Then I open the door and she goes in and lays down.

She alternates between Asleep inside for hours for heat. Then a rest outside the tent once in a while for a cool down.

This seems to have turned into a daily thing lol. I'm just glad I have found something that causes her such happiness.

I only let her in while I have my eye on her. She will eat the seedlings if she gets the chance. She already took a bite off 2 of the leaves of #1.

Other than that these seedlings look healthy as shit. They are a darker green that I've never had in the tent yet. They have many shoots coming out. The leaves are huge and serrations are super pronounced.

All are very vigorous growers. I am very impressed so far. I know it's genetics but I also think the mixed spectrum bulbs are doing them justice too.

The runt is on its 4th true node just like all the others. Surprising because it's so short. It also is the only plant not showing any purple pigmentation on the petioles or anywhere else. The green pheno.

I'm still waiting for a few more nodes to grow in. I want to take decent sized clones to ensure survival and quick root growth. I still have time anyways.

I'm guessing I may take the flowering ladies to 9 weeks. Plus a week hang drying. I have 2 more weeks before the juniors have a chance to migrate.

I measured the soil capacity of these pots cut to fit in the lower tent.

I used a #1 pot for measure it was 1.5x capacity. What is that 1.5 gallon pot?

they look great @rmoltis.I love the growth the t5s give.I veg under 600w mh,so I don't get that intense stack

norcal fire og x ultimate chem sfv.this is really standard.the great node spacing, and those sharp serrations.there is some of these in tat mix

Today (saturday) is the last day of week 8 Start of week 9.

I won't have pictures until before light on. Much later today.

I have decided to attempt going to week 9. I'm gonna give them 1 final week to fatten up.

I have 0 amber trich's so far.
Just mostly milky with a very small amount of clear. The extra week should give them ample time to ripen.

I can see them putting on weight everyday. So I know they aren't done yet. I'm keeping a watchful eye on them.

I'm out of smoke again lol.

So like usual I took the bowl piece I ran all my oz's through once I ran out.
And I extracted the oil from the resin.
Here's a pic of the bowl piece next to the extracted oil.
20161203 045957

For only scraping the bottom section I sure got a large return. Even after filtering. Must be over a gram of oil.
Could be more but I don't have a scale.

Like usual I soaked in iso and broken down. Then filtered a couple times through coffee filters. Then evap/purged in a hot water bath.

I only do this as last resort haha. Only 1 week more until harvest :)

Does the ISO and filtering get rid of the shitty taste of burned resin?

LOL I think the worst part of the taste is the burnt plant matter. Filtering out that cleans the taste up quite a bit. But it won't have any terps. Those are long gone

You aren't left with a disgusting lingering taste. Now it will smell like it and have some small resin style flavor. But the potency overwhelms that part and the smoothness is surprising.

In the end it's still resin, just a very cleaned up form.

Time for a photo bomb.

I was sitting here when I heard a click. I looked over saw my hps light off through the tent. I thought "shit my hps blew".

Went over and opened the tent and looked inside. Hps was off I stayed up so late the light turned off lmao.

I set it to 11/13 for the whole upcoming week so it shut off.

But I forgot to set the led bulbs back 1hr. So I had a great chance to take pictures of my gals in quality light that didn't create lines. The light looks very natural too. It also gave a chance to set that timer back 1hr.

If you didn't know it you may think they were my main lights 3200 lumens total lol.

Enough stalling where's all the pics?
Here they are enjoy.

You have a good looking harvest on its way bro. This bagseed look like they're 10 weekers at least. Looking frosty as shit for sure

Thanks chief. They look and smell great. This will be my first grow pushing the 8 week mark. Time to explore new territory.

Time to refine my ability to judge ripeness. I could always use more experience judging that.

Im just armchair quarterbacking ya. I have zero real world experience with it so don't listen to me haha
