SweetSo after finishing a grow and finally being able to try this out... i just flipped to Flower 2 days ago and couldn't be more happy. No issues at all with anything. I've gone light this run as a first try (using 4 gal res quantities but using 6 gallons of RO.) EC comes out at 1350-1400. PH is perfect without adjusting at 5.7. I've checked this after a couple days in the resevoir and at most has gone up to 5.8. Res is steadily bubbled and stirred. just for clarity i'm only using the 321 with the fulvic and Silicon. Will update again as flowering starts.

I use solution grade gypsum, CaSO4, from the brew stores for beer making. gypsum is completely soluble up to a 5-7ish grams per gallon, which is entirely too much for plants, one gram of gypsum is 62ppm calcium, and 47 ppm sulfer. it cannot be made into a stock solution, and needs to be added dry last to the rez. takes a few minutes to dissolve completely. i think i paid 25bucks for a 50lb sack of the stuff.Take a look at Calcium cloride

I just started with Gypsum in late flower while reducing CalNitrate in the last 2 weeks. I heard on the Athena podcast how necessary calcium is late flower, and cutting back nitrogen. You can do this pretty well with Calcium Sulfate (Gypsum). I’m still working on the dosage. Then cutting everything in the last 5-7 days, getting a nice fade before harvest. Been having pretty good success with full strength Jacks, potassium silicate @50-70 ppm in total solution and just started yesterday with the Mr. Fulvic that Bill recommended.
Nice, I may just fill a full res with plain water and work backwards to get to the 150 ppm mark. Won’t have another crop ready for harvest for a few weeks, but I will post my findings in here when I do.Found this.
CALCIUM SULPHATE
At 20C (68F), calcium sulfate dihydrate – the form most commonly available – has a solubility of around 2.4 g/L. In practice this means that you can have up to around 550 ppm of Ca in solution from calcium sulfate dihydrate before you observe any precipitation happening. This is way more than the normal 150-250 ppm of Ca that are used in final hydroponic nutrient solutions that are fed to plants.
Grotek Gro-Silic is a soluble silica that is cheaper than Stout MSA.
Mr. Fulvic is 1ml/gallon intermittent feed or use as a standalone foliar. It is 0.5ml/gallon constant feed or foliar in conjunction with other inputs.
I do silica/base ferts/fulvic all the way through veg to flower. Kelp/Ca at flip for structure/vigor. Homemade Hammerhead week 6 of flower based on tissue samples. You can tweak it however you would like, this just keeps it simple.
I have been messing with that stuff for about 9 months. It definitely has an impact on the plant as in speeds up nutrient uptake and plant health. I try to stop using it as week 3. About the same with Mono Silica Acid.What dose of Mr. Fulvic are you using?
I have been going by the bottle directions of 1ml per gallon every feeding forever but upon scrolling this thread for the umpteenth time, I noticed that way back on page six, our exiled guru recommends .5ml continuous and 1ml for intermittent usage.

I am not using the Cal Prime last couple. I believe the Cal Prime is richer in Calcium because it removed the Ammonia from the mix. I believe this causes a problem with the plant. I will PM you some new stuff I have found out.Are you still using the cal prime/ pure cal? Only in transition?
Sometimes local tap will have Ca or Mg present in a form unavailable to plants. I use Ca acetate to boost my elemental Ca. Bulk supplements.com is a good place to source it.Question for the everyone out there.

I use RO water mixed with 25% tap water. Water usually ends up around 133PPM prior to starting the mix.
Water Report <---Water Report for my water.
Rocking about 24mg/L of Calcium. Ends up being about .092gr/gal of Calcium. Jack's has about .36gr/gal of Calcium (assuming it's 18%).
I was thinking about adding more tap water to my mix to help increase the calcium, but it also has ~.5gr/gal of Calcium Carbonate, .06g/gal of Magnesium, and .02gr/gal of K. With the extra's in the water, would it be smart to increase my Tap to increase the amount of calcium in the mix?
If you are doing sealed room CO2, I suggest bumping it up to 3.6 Jack's/2.4 Cal Nit/1.2 epsom. I would suggest supplementing with epsom with CMH and LED fixtures.
Also, the easiest way to bump calcium content without additional supplementation is to use Haifa Cal Prime instead of their regular Cal Nit.
@Aqua Man , I've read you posting about LED's and extra Mg in other forums I think. It seems that BillFarting is suggesting an entire extra gram in addition to the normal 1.2g, does that sound right to you? Thanks!It looks like a magnesium problem. If using silica and fulvic every feed, apply them at half strength. Other than that, be sure to double check the pH of your feed input and runoff.
If you are under LED or CMH, you may need to add 1g epsom salt/gallon as well.

If you need or use Ph down get some Growmore Flowering CalMag as bill suggested and it will lower your Ph as well as boost your Calcium due to the calcium citrate.Question for the everyone out there.
