Thanks for going through the trouble. Much appreciated.
I picked the Masterblend over Jack. B'cause it is way cheaper and add tiny bit of Bioag TM-7.Is there a benefit from using Jack's vs Masterblend? I have ordered the Power SI and the Mr. Humic, was about to order the Jacks right now. I will wait to hear back before going that route
Was I correct to add the 5ml then to achieve close to 50 elemental ppm of Si?It's potassium silicate. 2 potassium for every 1 silica.
I think mr fulvic just got approved for retail in Canada.Any recommendations for a Fulvic Acid for us Canadians? Seems neither of the options listed are available in Canada.
Foliar with seedlings, people tend to play it safe and use at half strength.I've run Jacks 321 with Recharge the past two runs and am really happy with it. @BillFarthing sold me on his recipe so I'm getting ready to start using the power si and Mr. Fulvic. I have a few questions. If anybody can answer them I would really appreciate it. The first about the si and ful in a foliar spray. Would I add the recommended dosages when mixing them together and would that be safe for seedlings and clones?
The next is about making concentrates with the jacks and epsom. I stray away from the 321 ratio as needed so want to make 3 different concentrates. I've emailed Jacks with no answer so what I'm wondering is how long could I expect the concentrates to last for? I'd like to make it as concentrated as possible but only use 5 gallons of water a day and wouldn't want it going bad.
I believe part B is simply Calcium Nitrate 15-0-0. These must be mixed separately (starting with part A). I bought Calcium Nitrate instead of part B. That mixed with Epsom salt (Magnesium), and good Ol’ Mr. Fulvic - you’ll be spot on. Earlier in this thread someone posted the link to a video where they explain the mixing of these 2 parts.Hi, a question about Jack's-- does anyone know why the Veg line is separated into a part A and a part B rather than one product mixed together? Does that mean that when I'm using them I'm not supposed to mix them together?
Yes. It is totally soluble in hydroponics and soilless like rockwool and coco. The fulvic chelates the nutrients making them available at a wider pH range. I tend to use 10-25% less base fertilizer because of it. The amino and organic acids prevent stress, increase taste, smell and TAC %.I'm curious if youd run Mr Fulvic w/ a soiless media like rockwool.
I'm not sure about fulvic in Europe. I sent you a couple potential companies with water extracted (versus chemically extracted) fulvic.Awesome thread!
I'm in Europe so finding 5-12-26 dry fertilizer is impossible. I got Yara Kristalon Orange(6-12-36) together with calnit and epsom.
I'm thinking Yara actasil for silica but I'm left wondering about a replacement for Mr.Fulvic ?
This looks like it but I'm no expert... Oh lots of sodium ?
FULVAGRA Liquid 25 Highly Bioactive Growth Promoting Highly Concentrated Aquatic Fulvic Acid - HUMINTECH
FULVAGRA Liquid 25 is 100 percent water soluble and is suitable for all arable and horticultural crops for leaf and soil application. It can be applied alone or in combination with soluble fertilizers and common pesticides.www.humintech.com
Grotek Gro-Silic is a soluble silica that is cheaper than Stout MSA.@BillFarthing
I’m wondering if you are familiar with “stout MSA” seems a little more inexpensive compared to Power si and the like. Also curious if you use me fulvic same concentration drench/foliage and/or flush.
Last question, do you have one homogeneous feeding solution or do you alternate offerings? My understanding so far is jacks and fulvic every water/feed adding Si veg and transition, maybe kelp at transition and K doom booster week 6, recharge every third if used. I know I’ve incorporated your advised use of additional products as opposed to your actual recipe.
Do you think its better to go with Haifa Cal Prime over Jack's with RO water? My tap water is reading 400-500 ppm and I had issues on my last run, I installed my RO filter around week 5-6 and it fixed the issues I was having but it was too late by then.If you are doing sealed room CO2, I suggest bumping it up to 3.6 Jack's/2.4 Cal Nit/1.2 epsom. I would suggest supplementing with epsom with CMH and LED fixtures.
Also, the easiest way to bump calcium content without additional supplementation is to use Haifa Cal Prime instead of their regular Cal Nit.
Cal Prime is a different type of calcium nitrate. It still requires Jack's 5-12-26.go with Haifa Cal Prime over Jack's with RO water? My tap water is reading 400-500 ppm
Sorry, I was referring to Jack's part B Cal Nit. I would prefer to stay with RO water so I know what is going to my plants. I know you have to add cal mag with RO water, so what would be a better option, the Hafia Cal Prime or Jack's Cal Nit?Cal Prime is a different type of calcium nitrate. It still requires Jack's 5-12-26.
If your water is that hard, you may want to consider Jack's TAP instead of Classic Hydro/Cal Nit.
