Bare Bulbs in Tents?

what do you guys think would be better for a 5x5 tent, 1k hps bare vertical or in a horizontal reflector like magnumXXL?

Depends what you mean by "better".

Unless your airflow is top notch (I had a 425CFM for exhaust and a 175CFM for intake, and I'm not sure that'd be sufficient), I think it'd be hard to keep temps in line with a bare bulb in those tents.

BTW, when I switched reflectors and went to the Magnum in my tent, I had to cease air cooling the light because the reflector is that ginormously large (I could've done it if I really wanted to, but it was too much of a pain in the ass for me).

Just something to consider; being that large has its pros and cons.
