Bare bulbs or cool tubes?

What say you farmers? Are cool tubes really worth all the fuss or are bare bulbs the way to go. I am building a 6k vert room and am wondering if I should go bare or cool tubes.

id say the biggest factors we need to know is where do u live and how many of what sized bulbs u running

I live in CO so the night time temps here only get up to around the 60's. I am planning on putting 6k in a 12x15 room with a vert setup like

I am trying to decide how big of a mini-split that I need to pull this off and if I should go bare or tubed. I think I am going to have to do them on 36" centers so I am leaning toward cool tubes. thanks for the help

I've used both.

For cool tubes to be effective, you need to have outside air moving over them out to an area far away from the grow room.

I had 6x600w with 6 cooltubes, air in from outside, blown into another room in the home, worked OK.

Not a chance in summer though! (location dependant)

Oh yes, make sure you get the _good_ ducting and use an 8" inline fan.
