Anyone else played with this strain? I saw the photos of the strange "Bead" phenotype and just wanted to give it a try. I germinated four seeds, and they all took root. I still have six more seeds from this pack.

One plant is still in the Veg room. I'll add a pic later.

Three of the plants went into the 12/12 cycle on January 6th. One of the plants is the beadlike phenotype shown on their website and all the sites that sell this strain.

Then there is a radically different phenotype that is still pretty fluffy and light with regard to the bud structure, but MUCH more substantial "normal" nuggets. They still have a while to go before they are done, but I thought I'd share and see if anyone else has experience with this strain.

that looks really similar to a caterpillar cut i was gifted from the Kootenia Naturals.I just started running it a couple weeks ago,it is a14-15 weeker or so the fan leaves in veg were bigger than my head and its on the sativa side.What is the smell like on that cut

Yeah, they probably wouldn't believe it is weed. I grow multi-strain perpetual rooms, and currently the Lemon Skunk from DNA is so overpowering that I can't smell anything else. So, I don't really know what, if any odors are developing with the Grinspoon.

That Lemon Skunk is so sweet smelling I almost get sick from the smell when I'm working in the room where they are flowering.

Harvested. I took a small frond of the Bead pheno and quick dried it. Smoked just a small bowl and got really high. I was extremely surprised. I'm used to concentrates, so the fact that I felt anything is promising. Can't wait to see how she cures. Going to take my time curing this lady.... and her budlike sisters.

The lemon skunk turned out sick too. As did the OG #18.

Next to come down.... Tahoe OG, Jamaican OG, SVG Kush, R.P. Sour Diesel, Blackwater, Greenhouse Thai, Super Critical Haze SCROG and R.P Confidential Cheese SCROG (Sativa dominant structure) and some other shit I can't think of at the moment. All in soil.

Hope a properly dried sample rips your head off, saw the strain and figured it would have to be killer to grow such sparse buds and still sell. Good Luck

Thanks. I'm not worried about selling this strain. This was grown purely to satisfy my own curiosity. Clients have, however, expressed interest in the strain and want to know when it is cured and ready for market.

One thing I will say that I love about this strain.. particularly the Bead Pheno; it requires zero trim work. None at all.

The first pix look like a typical Mexican sativa thats sent over the border nowadays (I say this to not get static from the old schools).

The Grinspoon published in mag looked totally different of anything Ive ever finished out however, so can I see your results?

With regards to the word "Pike", I think you meant "Piqued".

With the exception of the calixes looking more plump in the seed bank photos, the bead pheno looks just like the seed bank photos.

I'll take some pics of the other phenotype later. I'm hoping that some of the remaining six seeds and one plant in veg. turn out like this phenotype but with larger calixes. I don't think the pics will show it, but the thin stems are completely covered in trichomes too. Not Stalked Capitate, but Bulbous. So, in this case, you can smoke the stem and get high!

Google Dr. Grinspoon. The plant I grew looks exactly like the third pic under "images for dr grinspoon".

That shit looks crazy as fuck, and I have to agree the other picks calyxes looked bigger, like 20x bigger. Thanx for sharing tho. I swear i have a sativa that grows just like that with a citrusy scent. Dank for sure.

My grandmother was a stickler for grammar and that stuff.

The scent of this and the other phenotype is definitely on the citrus side. Considering how different the two phenotypes that I flowered are, I'm hoping that one of the remaining seeds from the ten pack (still have six I haven't popped) will have the bead phenotype with bigger beads.

I vaped some in the volcano at 390 degrees last night and got pretty high. Very cerebral, trippy high. I had these strange dreams all night too. I never remember my dreams.

I can't believe people are selling this stuff for $50 a gram! I'll be giving some away for free. If it is good, they will come back to purchase more, and it won't be free. Kind of like how seed banks give you free seeds. I give you free buds when you buy a jar(s).
