What would you do?

Two grow areas:
5W x 11L x 6H Veg

10W x 12H x 6H Flower

Items in mind

Veg room

Visqueeen reflective material
two fans pushing 440cfm
one for intake and other for exshast
two curulating fans
t5 lighting system for my babies and mother
400w or 600w for my veg cycle

plan to use organics to veganics soil and nutrition any input?
pots any suggustions?

Flowering room
4 lights etiher 600w to 1000w 6ft celings???
carbon filter
two fans pushing 750cfm
a couple oscollating fans.

Any input is great input thanks..
co2??? need advice...

I think your missing one or two critical components... Temperature sensor and controller to turn your fans on and off to maintain proper temperatures at this point.

If you want to go Co2 then your going to need to seal the room and use AC... (read Expensive).

T5's are great for cloning but you can really use the cheaper t8's. I wouldn't put a mother under a T5 as you are going to get little to no penetration which will decrease the amount of cuttings you take.

Your veg sounds fine. probably get by with 3-4 600 watt AC hoods and a 6" fan. If your going to air cool the room you don't need an inlet and an outlet, just use a passive outlet.

For the flower room, I would go two rows of 3-600 AC hoods with a 6" fan pulling air through each run. You could probably go two rows of 4 600's. but keep in mind, you better have your game on if your running that much juice as if you don't produce some quality meds to cover your costs, your looking at about $1400 in power bills for one flower cycle.

You've got a 6' ceiling? What kind of hoods are you gonna use? And How long are you gonna veg for?

Any air cooled hood you use will drop your available space by at least 12 inches. Now you've got pot size to consider. That's another 12 inches or so... then gotta remember the space between lights and tops of the plants. That's another 12 inches or so. All that means you've got about 3 feet of usable plant space... Unless you're planning on doing a SERIOUS amount of LST, topping and the like, you won't be able to veg hardly at all...

Keeping these factors in mind, I would cut your veg room size down to large enough to support two maybe three moms. Maybe 4x4 or 5x5. Not much room needed, really. Then make two seperate flower rooms and do a Sea of Green. Take clones from the mom, pack em together in there tight (maybe 12 inches square for each) and flower them as soon as they're rooted... you'll keep your plants short and still get a decent yeild. Get some genetics that are known for being less branchy, and more suited to SoG, just to make sure...

Also you want to keep in mind that navigatable space is worth its weight in gold when you're trying to work with your plants. If you know what you're doing, and are confident in your ability, pack em in all the way and set it up to go. But if not, you'll want an aisle you can use to get to all the plants so you can inspect them daily. If its too much of a hassle, you'll end up not wanting to keep up with it...

Thanks so much for the input. yeah lack of height space is the main hurdle. I will keep all this in mind right before i hit the store to buy this right set up to produce as much quality meds repeatedly.

With short ceilings why not run vertical 600s, this will allow for much more headroom?

That's a good point. As a medical grower with plant number limits, that's what I myself would do. He didn't mention being bound to a certain # of plants, so I figured SoG would be easiest for him to maintain.... Just my $0.02

Once agian thank you for all input. I am very new to growing but not new to smoking it lol. I have been thinking that maybe since this is my first grow, i should not go as full scale. Sometimes jumping a head of yourself will get you in a lot of unwanted results but i have come to learn that with proper planing and follow thru great results could be produced. Me and my wife are medical card holders. I do have 24hrs/365days to invest into my lab to create my own meds. My goals are to have high yeilds of very potent buds in a good time frame and be able to do so often as i can. I am a great student. Need guideince. I do want to eventually go full scale in my whole basement but feel like i need a hands on approch to understand to science of this wonderful plant. I am open to all options all types of set ups. Waiting for taxes to invest so have a little time before i make a move. Need a set up that would be easy to upgrade. So Any suggustions are taken into account. please discribe results i could reciveive by using system, nutes lights the whole nine. thanks once again in advance to all.

Honestly, if you don't have the experience, I would say just go with a small set-up to begin with... maybe just a 1kw light and a 4x4 flood table? Start there, and work up from that. Use your harvest to re-invest for the next cycle...

basemwnt bro

PC//// i'm firing off a basement grow myself. have the 2 4ft 6 bulb T-5s up and going in my veg chamber. It's not working out like I thought, imagine that!! But i'm going to make it work. Heat and low humidity is the issue as it is a small cabinet. It's a shelf built into the basement, the main thing is it stays dry. I went to 18/6 on the light, wanting smooth transiction for my mother plants.

In basements temps aren't as big an issue as say a closet or garage.
I have several options, it's overhelming but i'm gonna keep it fairly simple this time out.

good luck bro.

Running tables with rezzies below isnt a great option, you will have maximum 2' plants if u run hoods. So knowing this i wouldnt run a res. I would place ur plants in a table that sits on the ground or do individual saucers for runn off and hand water with a wand daily. This is for the flower room
For the veg room grab some t8 lamps and hang them on yoyos, then some shelves along a wall for clones with some flouries above them.

questions-

there are some key unkowns here-

are the areas seperate? or are you making two rooms out of one room?
windows? doorways?
this all has to be either sealed, shadowboxed etc-

each will need its own intake and exhaust-
independent

i would run MH's veg, one nice mother since your medical limit-
the mother i'd use a 200watt cfl or 250 watt mh- easy and it wont add much heat or power use but grow her great-
id set up a cloning section with cheap fluorescent lighting over them, mini greenhouse with a 7"=8" dome and go rockwool cubes as there easy to find and cheaper than any other plug-
they handle clones really well imho-

for my main veg plantz id go bubble buckets or dwc-
under 600 watt mh's-
with the nutrient lines today, r/o filters etc etc-
why not go dro, save your self some serious bug battles , yield more in your space with the limited number of plantz your running, and learn to "dial in" a strain properly-
get a ph meter or all in one monitor-
ppm is important but tds meters can be misleading-
by the time you buy a decent ph meter, and tds meter you should of just bought the monitor that reads ph,tds,ec,temp the works-

then for flower theres no transplanting- just empty the bucket, move the bucket , fill, dose, walk away- set your flowering cycle-
if you set it up right you should only have to move the lids with the plantz in them from veg to the empty buckets waiting in flower-

easy as pie-
only thing you need is 5 gal buckets, lids with net baskets- some grow rock or hydroton (last forever) lol and two 40$ air pumps(one for veg room, and one for flower)
id run my flowering plantz under 600 watt hps- they are by far the most efficient hps power to light pen ratio-
they jam-

for nutrientz-
flora nova!!
floralicious + for an additive
koolbloom powder for bloom phase and acts as ph down
sugar daddy or cane sugar product for a sweet
bottle of GH cal-mag + for just in case you get a picky strain that loves cal or mag etc-
thats it- a 80% hydro organic formula-(cause the koolbloom is not organic)

not 20 bottles of crap-

with this formula my DWC buckets get heavy:pimp:

Thanks Big Sky, a little more about my grow area... A/C that controls house temp is in basement,. also an exhast duct leading to the roof outlet. has a little 2in by 18in or so window. The water heater is also installed down there. I was looking at some ebb and grow set ups... So what would be intial investment in a a set up like yours?
