nice happy green plants now. Coining up on the road new year anniversary of self sufficiency. SO MUCH MONEY not spent at the dispensary, woora!

first picture is of course the clone hut. I’m trying to cut runs down to 2-3 strains tops. Citrus Rescue, Afghani, and Nitro Haze all on the left. Side, some more Haze clone in the Tupperware.
pPicts two and three are the veg tent. These are just older bigger versions of the little ones from my last post. However, the smallest int he foreground are new genetics some Ms. Gillz I bought at the horticulture shop on a whim. It’s kind of dangerous going to by your cal mag and seeing 15 strains of seeds you can just snatch up for the low price of 8 bucks a seed.
last Picts are of course the bloom tent. There are the three plants up front that are the final acid burned plants. Nitro Haze, and they are ugly but have produced some. Very happy about the green flowering plants in The background, first run of proper pH and soil since last summer.
Stupid farmer thinking s best. Plants are the key we just have to listen.
Be Well and grow on.

Dear Farmers,
Ive done it, finally dialed in my veg tent. Middle tow pictures. I have lush and wonderful new growth. Evapo transpiration rates are off the charts and I have to wipe down the condensation in the tent each day.
Clones are totally ballin out, and even half of the bloom tent is in much better kit then it’s been lately. only a few plants left that were abused in some manner or other (bad pH, fermented fertilize, etc).

My Socrate Note: this may be my final posting fellow farmers. I’ve begun to tire greatly of this community and sorry to say have gotten quite board of the dribble discussed here. More that half of all postings are really simple GED google questions, “How long till done, Oh no what deficiency, how do I water, etc”. Our pandering to and solving these super simple problems for eachother is creating is stifling create thinking, problem solving and personal empowerment. I know it’s an immediate gratification world and America is especially culpable, but we’re not actually helping anyone. I really miss the scientific posting and tbreads about soil chemistry, vpd Charting, dwc design / construction. Thanks for the run of it THC Farm. Encourage personal mastery and empowerment.

Grow on…

Long time no posting. I really wasnt going to rejoin the community here. But my pleas to Logic have gone unanswered to terminate my account. plus for the first time in a long time I have something worth while to share; hard work paying off and all. Take that as a life lesson newbies. if you can answer a question with a google search don’t ask it!!!

However, I am actually proud of what’s going in the basement lab. Touch an go for a long time, but I’ve figured out and dialed in a methodology that works great for me, and I have reached self sufficiency!! Not just for the bud I smoke but also for the seeds I sow. The breading experiment was nerve racking at first, but I have bags of seeds now. Totally advise it to any intermediate grower, break free of dependence on the seed bank.

On a whim I bought some MzJillz Lemon Bean seeds from my local horticulture store summer. One popped male, and I was able to breed it across my 6 other vintages. It was a bit of a pain through the late fall and early winter, but I was able to bag near 100 seeds! Growing under the T5s I have the following strains.

MzJillz x Orange Bud
MzJillz x Nitro Lemon Haze
MzJillz x Golden Nugget
MzJillz x San Fernando Valley
MzJillz x Afghani

Yeha I wish I had some other pollen to work with, but regs are regs you know. I’m really happy to see the strong genetics of the Jillz come through in the new plants think stems and lots of under branching. They will be ready to clone in no time for the outdoor summer grow.

last pics is some of the MzJillz Lemon Bean I just cut yesterday.

be well and grow on!!

Some serious cloning done yesterday. Darth Sidious will have his clone army for the summer outdoor grow. You know how it is, friends that don’t want to spend money on seeds need a few extra clones to mooch off me.

also very exciting I bit the bullet and copped some of those feugo genetics. Lemon OG and the GMO Zittles. I wanted to join the 30% + club with something right. Lucky for me the hydro shop was having a 30% off reg seeds sale.

Last pick is totally disorganized but it’s the current state of the seed bank. My breeding earlier this year helped by increasing my strains by 50% or so. Just have to grow them each out to see if their viable genetics.

Lemon OG and the GMO Zittles came up in sweet trooper fashion. 30% here we come. The canopy of my summer plants doing really well. Those tall outliers will be clone prospects if I need a few more.

be well grow on!

The GMO-Zittles and Lemon-OG are growing up. Blew through the seedling and on into the sapling phase for sure. I will have to top thm pretty soon if I want to get some clones off.
Im hoping that the leggy Zittles is actually a male, then I can get some of that sweet 30% pollen. Continue the breeding experiments and bring up the average THC density of some of my other genetics.
Lemon-OG looking nice and compact, oh don’t know for sure, but I see that as a pretty lady.

I have my summer outdoor stock ready to go. But waiting for the 1st of June to roll through and they are outside!! I did hit them a little hard with the topical happy frog. But it will straighten itself out once their in ground.

also gave most of the clone army away to a friend for his summer grow. But keeping some of the genetics I bred last fall/ winter to fuck with and clone. See if I can’t pheno hunt a little. MzJills 1 and MzJxSFV both popped males, not sure yet if I will keep them in isolation long enough to get pollen, but it is just very cool being self sufficient with bud and seed production.

be well and grow on!

the one Zittles I planted way back in May has become a bad ass motherfucker of a male. Making sure he is isolated in the garage far from the outdoor Ladies.
doing the pollen collection scene each afternoon, and have done 2 application of Pollen to female flower arms. Not trying to seed the entire plant my target only one branch per plant, hoping for 50 seeds.
Crosses for this year include
Zittles x Lemon OG. (Both from Ethos pushing 30%)
Zittles x SFV Hashplant (the latter are seeds from the hilltown hippies good bud estimated 18%)
Hopefully I caught th e plants a the right time in the ovulation period. This will be 4 time doing the strategic breeding experiment. 3 of the 4 good success with seed creation. 1 attempt notta, I think it was too late in the flowering cycle OR the pollen was bad.
Ill try to through up some shot of the ladies tomorrow, we had nasty nasty weather today.
Be well and grow on,

Targeted breeding on the Lemon OG and the San Fernando Valley.
As mentioned above the pollen is from Ethos Zitttles, hoping for some high test crosses here.

So strictly speaking We‘er not in the basement lab anymore. Dorothy has left Kansas and all.

Outdoor plants in the back yard are making some significant progress into blooms.
1st pic is actually afghan pure saliva, pretty sure she is a girl, the only concern is no pistils yet. With a minimum 80 bloom cycle i’ll be pushing up against the first frost to finish here off. Hope there’s enough time.
2nd pic we have the San Fernando Valley Hashplant. I originally got the seeds from an older hippie dude up in the hill towns. Not sure if this is from the first seed batch or my back cross from last year. Good stain through, hope I get seeded from the zittles cross.
3rd up is the Ethos Lemon OG, they say it will reach 30% THC but I am skeptical. As you can see it has been the favorite of the garden pests, hope that doesn’t reduce yield too significantly. Also trying to cross with the zittles male.
4th and most exciting for me is the MzJillz Lemon Bean X Nitro Lemon Haze that I over last winter. Super stoked to see it as a living plant and not just a bag of seeds, looks pretty frosty too!
Be Well All and Grow On!

Continue my shout into the void!

I’m very excited as I have not germinated for over near a year on scale.
these will be the outdoor ladies and clones for next June grow cycle. I decided to start them a little earlier for 3 reasons. First some new genetics here I’m growing and want some time to figure out what they want. 2nd these are all Regs so I will have to sex them and need the extra time for Cloning purposes. And I’ve really missed working with the little growing plants.
Details of all the strains are in the first picture. Really looking forward to how the Ethos Genetics will perform, and also super excited about growing more of the strains I bred last year.
Be well all and grow on,

Yeah man,
That long play chess move style work. Something zen about the whole breeding cycle, have to wait for the right time of pistils development, right time of year if outside. Lot of preparation of the parent to ensure you have a crack at even trying to plant the offspring.

Took the time to transplant last night.
all the quantum kush crosses popped along with tropic cookies and one of the MzJillz crosses I bred last year.
Unfortunately my seeds only had a 25% germination rate. Not sure why here, maybe having to do with the timing of the pollen dusting? Can there be sterile seeds if done a little wrong?
All in all it’s very fun to be burning electricity and back inside the basement lab.
be well and grow on.

Much like we’d expect in the lab interior. Little baby plants be growing. It’s so nice to do my daily check and see the little ones change slightly. From here till about two feet tall is my favorite part of the life cycle.
