THIS IS A STUPID FUCKING PROBLEM TO HAVE, BUT IT IS ONE WE HAVE!

as you can see I have outfitted my San Fernando valley Kush with a little conspiracy theory tin foil foot. Thus far it has deterred the furry little fuckers. Next year buckets.

Forced to harvest the Lemon OG. as seen above the chimpmunks and other vermin of my back yard eat a full ring of Cambrian bark from around the lady’s legs. Totally fucked up the plant. so definitely not going to hit the advertised 30% THC, this early of a hravest I’ll be lucky to snag 20%.
the good thing to come of it. Most of the Zittles cross pollinated seeds reached maturity. Seeing a few black heads poking out, so not a total loss.
buckets next ready for sure.
be well and grow on!

I took a little time to top the saplings. I thought about bending them to do the low stress training like in the past, ultimate decided to just top then maybe try my hand at the mainlining scene. Or just grow them out with the two stocks.
Also I pit a few more beans in the ground. The saplings are all indica leaning hybrids, I also wanted some sativa in there too.
be well and grow on.

Not quite a month on and the new seed are really shooting up. I will definitely have to start some lst going on really soon or they are going to end up growing naturally into Pine trees.
be well and grow on

I had a buddy of mine come by and act as growing apprentice for an afternoon. We were able to move some plants between tents, top the little ones, and do some serious Low Stress Training.
next step some cloning action once they are big enough. Man it’s great to be farming again.
be well and grow on.

Happy new year peoples.
two months on and all three stages of life are rocking and rolling in the basement lab.
6 are in the bloom tent, just about to round 20 days of twelve hour light, a quarter of the way through there average 80 day cycle.
the veg tent 🏕 is really getting out of control. It’s a jungle in there and I will have to trim back or move enmass to the bloom tent and start then (just hope I have enough room, two months of blooming is a long time).
last but not lest, transplanted a slew of the clones yesterday. Too many different strains gaining this time around. I have to limit it to no more than 6.
a bonus, I have some jade plant clones going as well. Isn’t botany fun!!
🏕

We’re in full bloom the flower tent.
also got two males segregated out. In just a matter of days I’ll be able to collect some pollen then toss them on the burn pile. Tropical cookies, and purple magic, I’ll do the breeding ritual next week and hopefully i’ll get some productive hybrids.

Ive always marveled at how us pot farmers are acolytes of the sacred feminine. We revere the females, hoist them to alters to bask in the brightest illumination; and slay the males, merely bothering to milk them for breeding purposes on their way to the gas chamber.
All praise the goddess.

be well and grow on!

Pollen application in the bloom tent was a success. I crossed the Tropical cookies to three strains in the tent. Making those seeds, never have to buy again. Now I need to get solar and be off the grid dependenc.
Took some clones, we’ll see what happens with them. I’ve not been having a great track record, only maybe 50% survival the last few times, but hey free plants. Their on life support in the bucket right now.
Bloom tent is full, right hand side had plants that are near 40 days of bloom just chillin and making flower. The left side has plant just flipped to the 12/12 light less then 10 days.
be well and grow on

Getting to that point in the bloom cycle where the bud porn is getting of a good HD quality no more of the dial up shit.

pretty sure we got a male in the tent. I’ll have to kill him right off. All praise the sacred feminine.

be well grow on.

Just read your story. Don’t know why no one’s commented before but great work!

My mother hasn’t been able to grow a decent garden the last two years due to chipmunks, squirrels & groundhogs.

Glad you were able to overcome!

Hey man,
Thanks for taking the time. It can be a solitary hobby at times. My guess is the early days there wasn’t really much to comment on or talk about I was making a lot of mistakes. But seven years in I’ve learned a thing or two for the hobby grower, definitely not to the level of commercial guys though. But I’ve taught a few friends to become self sufficient too.
keep keeping on.

Any progress growing outdoors?

Other than building her a mesh screen I’m not sure how to stop the critters.

Raising the plants on milk crates and using the top crate as a pot with smart pots inside, or shopping totes, was one idea. (I’m doing that again this year at home.) But that’s not really growing in soil like she wants.

As she’s almost 80 I’m limited in what she can do on her own and we are 3hrs away from each other.

Regardless you’re doing great now.

Getting ahead on the clone army for summer time. I have 3 people now all asking for eight - ten plants for outdoor grows. Actually have to start charging them at this point.
be well and grow on!

I’m getting a lot better with survival rates. Out of this lot only 1 clone lost, and that was n error, squashed it with the edge of the Tupperware.
Rooting cubes were an annoying expense, but it really bit improve outcomes. Also continual spray each day with the clone-x, repeated applications made the magic happen.
be well and keep growing,

Spent some time yesterday to move everything around. All the clonelings are in the 4x4, I was just running out of room in the veg 4x2. Which ment the 5 plants blooming and to be shifted into my smaller tent. Reset the lights (very important step), and we are off and running.
I cut some plants on Sunday too, very excited as two of them are the Quattro Kush crosses, supposed to be pushing 30%. Very interested to see if they are indeed that strong.
be well and grow on

Running out of room isn’t the worst problem is it?

At day 43 in the bloom tent. Kind of worried the t5s are not juicing with enough light.
but it’s where they have to be.
be well and grow on.

Not my lab.
but I have a good friend living in a small ass apartment. He really digs what ive been doing and wants to learn. So yesterday he and I put together a space case. I gave home about 20 seeds of various quality and ease of growing.
he reported putting 2 beans in soil. And now the dude is off and running.
power to him!
