Basil light temp?

I want to grow some basil in my office window. I don't think it gets enough direct sunlight so will supplement with CFLs. What temp is best?

Basil is a warm weather crop. It will grow better if you can get the temps into the 80's.

So how'd you make out? I planted some Sweet Green basil, and Purple Basil about 1 1/2 months ago. small 3x3" pots. Put them in front of a window with a little shop flourescent over them. They sprouted, and have been growing slow. They are about 3 inches tall now with 3 sets of adult leaves. Should I cut the light back now from 24 to 18?
