got some dank blueberry pie it was lovely when I got it 3 days ago
Stored in glass jar popped for 10 mins a day but it's is going harsher and harsher when it was perfect
How is this possible

Weed doesn't cure, it's a serious cannabis myth. Wine cures because it is processed but a cured grape is a raisin right? Same program with cannabis, smoke it freshly dried because it's only going to get worse...at least in the flavor category.

are you saying you bought some bud? or that you harvested it, maybe try drying it abit more if it seems damp or wet at all and than re jar it.

I brought some it was perfect at first but getting harsher in the jar

Some stores re-humidify their stock. If you got this from a store, it is possible it went too dry and was brought back to life with humid packs...meaning it will lose it's "freshness" quicker without a boost pak to maintain it resulting in a harsher smoke as it dries...

Wow. Let's not throw this mis information to the public. I cure for at least a month or two and I smoke in between. There is a STRONG difference between cured and uncured. Sorry to break the news that curing is a very real thing and the fact you call it a myth means you've never had real connoisseur grade bud. And what is currently wrong with growers today trying to push low quality for cheap.

what do you mean by doesn't cure? like is this a semantics thing or do you not believe that there are changes happening to the plant matter in the jars. say i chop and trim a plant. i hang it for 4 days and then jar it and keep it around 60% humidity for 4 weeks. at what point do you think nothing is happening that we would call curing?

i will quickly say for the sake of posterity that you are wrong and that buds certainly undergo noticeable changes from a prolonged and total dry that draws out the inner moisture and maintains an even dry with proper atmospheric control and care.

But wine cures!!! Haha...I ran A 1200 vine winery for a few years. Mainly Reisling but we also had Cayuga White and a few others.
Anyway, wine does ferment and breathe but as for curing...not so much. There is an aging process but that only applies to a very very small percentage of all wine produced.
Does cannibas need a curing time?
ABSOFRICKINGLUTELY.
Why is this even in question?
Maybe some people like the taste of chlorophyll. IDK.
I've smoked it all as many of us older growers have...haha even oven dried.
But what I've learned...is that all weed needs to be properly processed depending on it's intended use or delivery method...
I like my flowers to taste better than store bought weed that's pushed to.the shelves too quickly

Your probably noticing a difference in smoke due to the buds being more dry. Simply put, it just smokes faster because you leave the jars open for a full 10 minutes at a time when they're supposedly already perfect.

So When the buds ready is it best to store in a jar and leave closed permanently?

That's what I'm thinking. When the bud is fully, properly cured you can leave it in the jars and store it for a good 6 months from what I've read. If it starts to grow mold within 6 months, it wasn't properly cured. And, from what I've read, a proper curing accounts for 50% of smoke quality.

if you find your bud is getting harsh to smoke and feels dry you can always put a peice of bread of orange/lemon peel in the jar with the buds just make sure to keep an eye and take it out before it starts getting any mold. basically the buds will pull the moisture out of the lemon or bread and "replenish" itself so eeverythings equal inside the jar.
