Cool. Thank againAlso, never apologize for wanting to do things right from the start. Everyone needs help once in a while. Especially newer growers. Its why we're here.
Best bet is to start off by cooling the room your tents in. A window or portable ac will take care of that just takes playing with the temps abit to get it right. Venting your exhaust out of the room your tents in would definitely bring down the room temp too. If that doesn't work you may need a chiller. They're kind of pricey though.I need a good recommendation on something to cool my water res. Or a mini air conditioner. Something that will cool the tent and the res
Thats perfect. Give the girls room to spread their legs. Ideally you want them spaced evely apart and once they are "touching tips" its time to f8 to flower4x4 table. 5x5 tent
I use a venturi pump in my res and the air intake for it is outside so its always pulling in cold air to aerate the res with. A decent hydrofarm venturi pump is only about bucks and you never need air stones again.Best bet is to start off by cooling the room your tents in. Ill get one or 2. Better to always have an extra. You think i should trim in a couple days? Wait for them to recover and then flip the light?Ill get one or 2. Better to always have an extra. My firspt vivosun pump lasted only 2 weeks or so
Man gen hydro all the way use the flora series. Ill lost exactly what you actually (IMHO) need and what i personally use in my at home hydroAnd next grow would it be beneficial to use the floranova series nutes from. General Hydroponics?
I totall agree with what @Aqua Man said. You need to remember that nutrients are like fishing lures. They were made to catch fisherman, not fishes. There is so much absolute shit on the shelves of every hydro store with NO scientific backing whatsoever.I like my dry ferts but that's just me. Mega crop is about 3-4 cents a gal to make. Thise 3 part GH etc. Are about 30-40 cents a gal to make.
Imo keep it simple and stick to a base nutrient in the range of about 2-1-3 NPK ratios. You can do that start to finish and just adjust the ppm as needed. This will greatly reduce the issues you can create by adding 40 bottles of unicorn piss and give you a good idea of what a simple base nutrient can produce. All these extra additives often do waaaay more harm than good in the hands of newer growers that don't yet understand the complexity of nutrient interactions and ratios. I can tell you that doing this will not disappoint you and likely give you a better end result than trying to take advantage of products that provide a very minimal benefit and large risk to the grow if not used properly and if you just go by the labels your almost sure to have issues.
Less is more man... I know it seems like the more complex the better... but nope definitely not.
Good base nutrient
Good plant hygiene
Good use of sterile or beneficial microbes
Enzymes are another good addition.
Good stable environment and you should have a very nice harvest and be very pleased with the results.
I can say with all the new growers I have seen. The most successful forst time growers are the ones that stick to the basics and don't succumb to the marketing pressures to use 50 bottles of unicorn piss.
Resist the gear lust. Resist the labels promising "explosive growth" or "massive yields" You dont want to spend so much on nutes and additives and boosters that by the time you harvest a pound, youve spent enough money on nutes that you could have just bought a damn pound of weed and it would take you far less time to be able to smoke it,I like my dry ferts but that's just me. Cool cool. I am pretty sure i have my nute a little high. I reslly think i need to get the ppm down to about 500. Gonna add some water to my res when i get home. I bought some 34% h202 also. And a trellis and some hemp twine to tie it down with. H202 says to mix 2-3 mls per gallon.I like my dry ferts but that's just me. Mega crop is about 3-4 cents a gal to make. Right on. Sounds like mega crop is what i really need to use when i run out of my general hydroponics nutes. Ill keep it simple.Resist the gear lust. Right! Thats why i am starting my own grow. To save money.Resist the gear lust. I wouldnt go any higher than 4 mls. I think 3mls per gallon of 34% h202 sounds about right.Cool cool. I am pretty sure i have my nute a little high. My vote is stick with gen hydroRight on. Sounds like mega crop is what i really need to use when i run out of my general hydroponics nutes. Ill keep it simple.
Sweet. My res is 50 gallons.Man gen hydro all the way use the flora series. Ill lost exactly what you actually (IMHO) need and what i personally use in my at home hydro
1. Flora trio - has 3 bottles. The flora Micro, grow, bloom. These are your base nutrients. You can adjust the ratio of each to tailor your nutes exactly to the plants needs
2. Liquid Koolbloom - bloom/ PKS booster. - this contains 0 mitrogen and is strictly a Potassium, phosphorus and sulphur booster for mid-late bloom.
3. Dry koolbloom - finisher. This stuff is made to shock the plant during the final few weeks before you flush/taper nutes (whichever you prefer)
4. Floralicious Plus - you want this stuff. The plants love this stuff. It contains humic/fulvic acids as well as essential enzymes. Its so potent you only use 1ml per gallon. At my house we call this stuff "the dark stank" and for good reason. Dont get it on anything that you will want to wear in public againbut seriously the girls love this shit.
5. RapidStart. This is a GH rooting booster. I use a mix of this and Floralicious Plus to getminate my seeds in amd to mist clones/young plants and they love it. This clone was after 5 days using floralicious plus and rapid start with a tiny bit of Amor Si and well, I'll let the pic speak for itself.
6. Armor Si - this is potassium silicate. First and foremost the key is always selecting the best genetics. Having said that, adding this adds silicates which has a very robust effect on the plant. It increases resistance to mold and pests, strengthens cell walls, makes the plant more resistant to stressors (like heat or cold stress, light stress, nutrient stress, ect..) and the list goes on. Good genetics shouldnt NEED this stuff but a little extra immune strength is always a good thing, get it?
6. CaliMagic. - calcium and magnesium additive. Usually i find the gen hydro food has enough calcium so i use epsom salts instead. Epsom salt = Mg²SO⁴ (magnesium sulphate) 1 gram per gallon
ALWAYS MIX YOUR NUTES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER AND BE SURE TO MIX WELL AFTER ADDING EACH NUTRIENT.
1. ADD Armor Si first and let it stabilize for an hour.
2. Add your calmag/epsom salt. Let pump mix for a few minutes.
3. Add FLORA MICRO - ,
4. Then add the rest 1 by 1 mixing thoroughly in between the addition of each nutrient.
THEN AFTER everything has been added, let the res mix for 5 minutes, check pH and adjust if necesssry. After adjusting the pH you should allow the res to stabilize for at least an hour and then recheck your pH. If the pH is still good then the res is ready.
The important thing to remember is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS add silicates first. Then the calmag stuff SECOND and THEN the micro 3rd. Then add the rest. Doing it in a different order will cause lockout.
And since i like your attitude towards growing, if you decide you want to use general hydroponics nutrients, let me know and i will send you a copy of their feed chart but ill also send you a copy of MY feed chart, a calendar of exacltly what needs to be done on which day. Shit, if i know how much water you put in your res i can even adjust my feed chart numbers to match your res so it shows you the actual amount per milliliter of each nute you should be using.
