Do you think synthetic nutrients knock out any of the molasses goodness?I like Jack’s it only $8 to $12 and works awesome View attachment 2172421
And molasses Black Strap or robust is the best but hard to find so I use$4 at Walmart in baking section. Add 2tbs to a gallon of water in Flower and only 1/2tbs to 1 tbs in Veg View attachment 2172423
It feeds the soil all that good stuff

You can add washed a dried crushed egg shell to your medium for extra calcium not a lot though. I like to add crab & shrimp meal for calcium & chitin (source of nitrogen)
If you have a feed store near you they may carry livestock or horticultural molassass. Comes dry and liquid. I belive the dry is sprayed onto an organic granual of some kind, sometimes ground nut shells. The liquid is well liquid but it is much cheaper than the grocery store stuff.I like Jack’s it only $8 to $12 and works awesome View attachment 2172421

In my experience I don’t think so, but I could be wrong. I don’t give my plants nutes every watering so there are time it get just molasses water. My medium mix is living and the spring tails, soil mites and worms don’t seem to mind it.Do you think synthetic nutrients knock out any of the molasses goodness?

There are bio-mineral/synthetic nutrients that can perfectly be used with organics. Athena combines partially organic with mineral bases and has suggars and microorganisms in the feeding chart. Advanced nutrients does the same, sensi grow is mineral but formulated to be beneficial for microorganisms and has partially organic supplements in the feeding chart and humic and fulvic acids (Unless its the 100% organic line, in which all is organic). If you wanna combine synth with organic make sure that the line youre using is meant for that.I have read that sum if not all synthetic nutrients , nullify things like worm tea, mykos beneficial bacteria, great white, molasses & so on
Any ideas
Just as one? Any good reliable bat guano (just as 1, it will take you the entire way through flowering).. extra additions could be pk13/14, possibly bud blood in early flower and a good dose of canna boost for metabolism and extra flavourLooking for a good flower feed that just comes a one and no other add ins
The soil doesn't stay living, when adding synthetic nutes, unless you keep reintroducing organic bio-diversity. Your plants can keep doing well but they will be dependent on those synthetic fertilizers. The whole point of living soil is to let biodiversity thrive so a symbiotic relationship develops between the dirt, root system, and plant. Every time you introduce synthetic nutes it kills off all that healthy bacteria that it touches. If I'm using synthetic nutes I pour it only around the base of the plant so it doesn't kill off all the healthy stuff. That's just me.In my experience I don’t think so, but I could be wrong. That question is a little different than what I was saying but essentially. I'm not saying it murders all the healthy bacteria, but from what I understand it can kill what it touches. That's why I said around the base of the plant it's fine but I like to keep as much of the soil undisturbed as I can. I've watched a million in one videos just like that and read even more. I'm just learning a lot about soil now because all you're trying to do with fertilizers the plant. Living soil is incredible for your plant if you keep it living.Well I mean
If your a botanist I’ll take your word for it I barely use it compared to what most people would use plus there’s stuff in my soil that brakes down over time not just all at once View attachment 2364275
Btw I'm not a botanist. I'm just not a blind consumer who buys everything they say I need. Pick an ideology and stick to it. If you are saturating your soil in synthetic nutrients, which you said you weren't, then you might as well be using coco coir. There's nothing wrong with synthetic nutrients I use them myself but only as a stopgap when I don't have the money to keep my soil as healthy as it needs to be. If you just want to spend money all the time I got some stuff I can sell you tooWell I mean

Aw your cute! I use Jake’s which is like one of the cheapest ones you can get lol and don’t even use it anymore. My medium then and now have crab meal, shrimp meal, compost and other goodies. I make the crab meal and shrimp meal my self since I live in a coastal fishing town and get the stuff for freeBtw I'm not a botanist.
