if salt is being use for an abrasive i might come out better using sand instead of salt

Try vinegar and baking soda. Small amounts. Sometimes the reaction can descale. You can smear the baking soda in a solution on the scale and pour a bit of vinegar. I use this trick on a bunch of shit at work

Also, the reason rain barrels aren't see through is because the sun causes algae to grow. Paint the outside of that if you are leaving it outside. You won't get stuff growing in there anymore.

If you have an ice maker, shaking and swishing ice with some salt cleans a coffee pot spotless. I'd say it work for this too.

I just rinse it well every time I use a tea or whatever and it's never an issue but I'd soak that in some cleaner and rinse extremely well ✌️

Lime away, def helps. It’ll get mineral deposits, that with the sea salt and alcohol, should be the ticket.

well im not sure what really does it all i ever mix in the jug is cal mag and kelp extract the night before then i water , my water comes from a well that i been drinking water out of since i was 5 years old so i would think the water is fine
