Please, for the sake of your neighbors and other farmers, don't attempt extractions with butane. You may have missed the stories recently about home explosions from morons blasting in confined spaces. Butane sinks and the saturation percentage to combust is low, so in sealed environments like your basement or garage, fumes could pool and explode. Have you tried dry ice extraction by putting dry ice and your product in a five gallon bucket topped with a bubble bag screen, then shaking the trichomes off?
Again, please don't try if you don't know what you are doing. Some folks here would suggest going up in the hills somewhere to blast, but with the fire danger that's not really very smart.
I think Mahatma has started advertising to private growers/patients. But you must 'donate' your product, they run and keep a portion and they are nice enough to charge you for your own extracted product. But their facility exploded earlier this year so I don't know where they are at inventory wise.
Cliff Notes: Dry ice, in my experience, has much more oil than other types of extracts such as kief boxes etc. I use fresh frozen trim, a few pounds of dry ice, and a five gallon bucket. Let it sit for a few minutes or gently toss the nuggets so they get cold/frozen. Shake. Shake some more. The results will be greener and greener and the quality would drop. You can do this yourself on the cheap, and I think it keeps the strain specific
terpenes and other smells, and oils, in the plant at a much higher quality than other extracts.
No disrespect, but folks who are 'new' to the extraction arena of growing have no knowledge of the risks and rewards. Dry ice extraction and bubble bags are what you should learn about first.

QUESTION: Do you have any felony drug convictions? What's your record look like? You could probably get some good ideas if you don't mind being a dispensary labor monkey, or look at craigslist. I would never buy extracts from an unknown source.
