Killer lineup Cheese.. Nice pick up with the cooks mine is starting 2 get growing.. I'm gunna need 2 head 2 the Bay & grab a cut of the platinum Cookies & see if it's better then the Girl Scout Cookie cut I got.. I think there both the same tho.. Good luck with ur top secret strain.. I'm gunna pop my top secret Alien strain in a week or 2.. Along with my 1 bean 1 keeper project..

Yea the buds looked done at 45 but the wernt quite ready they still pushed them 2 56-60 days.. But they posted a pic of 45 day GSC & damn they sure did look done but I think they get even stonier with more days.. Other people push GSC 63-70 days but I'm not sure if it's needed.. I'm juss saying tho.. I'll soon find out when I flower my GSC cut.. I've never grown GSC b4 I'm juss telling u guys what I've seen posted online..so I could b wrongdamn 45 days r u serious..wow that aint shit...

is it over kill on the plant will you lose potency if you let them go that long... Cant find an good cuts in so cal... y'all are lucky up north....

I think u can push a plant 2 long & loose potantcy if u get 2 much amber crystals then ur gunna loose some of the stoneyness..

kimbo is a good street fighter but cant hang with multiple styles plus he was old as shit coming in so his career wasnt gonna be long.

i go off of more than just trichs. i go for overall plant maturity . you can really tell when a plant is done done when it stops taking up water. i find by that time it has gone far too long. with that being said this is my check list.
1. growth rate
2. pistil color
3. water uptake
4. trichome development
5. autuming off from flushing

I totally agree with you there, multiple factors go into perfect timing, and more often than not my mates always seem to go too long wanting that extra weight, but i prefer the 'just on ripe' with the crystals still gleaming :)
nice noting on the water uptake dropping off at the end, i have noticed this... easy to tell with a re-circ system.
