What projects can we come up with that we can get done in under a million man-hours? I'm not sure I can think of very many projects that would take that many hours... Build a pyramid?

All PD's do this and have for years,you make an arrest right at the end of your shift and just paperwork is gonna get you a couple hours OT which you can either take OR bank towards an early retirement or a cash out at retirement if you dont take the early option.I have a family member who went the distance and retired after 30 years(he could have after 20)and his cash out of accrued hours was just short of 500K and this had nothing to do with his retirement,BTW he was 53 when he retired.Stoners are just easy targets,their generally non violent,not gonna run or fight so easy money in general.

swine. wastin time not chasing crime... and we pay the fine. meh

At least generally their lives suck (high divorce and suicide rates, substance abuse etc), all conformity, rules and aggressive bullshit... in the end they get theirs. Cops know how people feel about them, and they know the mark never washes off. I think that's justice.

Btw, always be sure to call polices 'cops'................. it fits and offends oh so well.

Honestly ALL cops are wastes of space. Let's think about who become cops, people with no actual skills in life. I know (and would consider friends) several cops. They were never people who showed any actual proficiency in anything; people who would never have success in any other profession. So to make up for their lack of intelligence or talent they become professional bullies. So why should we be surprised when news comes out telling us just that?

I would make the suggestion that all police departments be shut down, but that wouldn't really make any sense either. So we are caught in an awful catch 22; let dumb-ass bullies "protect" us or let true thugs and criminals run the streets. There is no winning in this situation. However I am a big fan of giving the cops fewer reasons to harass people. Hopefully that proposed law does pass in NY, maybe it would influence the same change in other states. Ultimately this country does need to come up with a unified law on Cannabis' legality, because what is now legal in two states still comes with long jail sentences in others, and this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed soon.

Really though, anything other than putting our brothers and sisters in jail and sucking life and money from them would be better than these useless, wasted hours.
