Bigcountry is popping beans! OGiesel, Sunset Limited, and Dairy Queen

So I am a fairly new farmer, I only have 1 grow under my belt and that was from clone. This is going to be my first attempt at a grow from seed and I figured I would document it on here and get as much help from this knowledgable community as I can! My veg closet is basically just that a closet that I have cleaned out, It has a vent pipe running through it so I tapped into that put in a 6 inch exhaust fan, and cut an intake in the floor. The light settup is a homebuilt hanging fixtures consisting of 12 CFLs They are the 100W equivalent variety, In a blue spectrum. From what I have heard this might help with female ratios? As you can see from the pics they are just in Fox Farms Ocean Forest inside of Red Beer cups at the moment.
As for the beans themselves I was up at the San Fransisco High Times Medical Marijuana Cup and picked up some seeds from Cali Connection and from TGA Subcool Genetics. For this grow I started with 5 OGiesel from Cali Connection and 5 Dairy Queen from TGA.

Looks like have 9 out of 10 beans sprouted. I dont have much faith in DQ #5 at the moment still no signs of life. So I just decided to soak a freebie the Cali Connection threw in. Its called Sunset Limited (Blackwater x Jamaican Me Crazy) and it is the only feminized seed of the bunch. Just to make up for the 1 DQ that I dont think is gonna sprout. Let me know what you guys think and if anyone has any experience with these strains Id really love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping in and for the info. I have heard that about TGA before. Heard the Vortex and the Ripper were the best they had. I was just looking for something with Cheese in it honestly and figured I would give em a shot. Im really waiting for Billygoats Pineapple Cheese to be in seed form and I think that will satisfy my Cheese craving.

So I realize this is a pretty boring post so far for a site like this. So here is a bud porn pic of my first attempt at a grow.

We had some PM issues and decided to chop it 7 weeks into a planned 9 week flower. It was a Jack Herer clone gifted by TLMD in the SFV on a patient appreciation day. Hope this livens up the thread a lil until these sprouts start taking off!

Hey bro things are looking great....I have ran Ogeisel a few times and was super happy with it the pheno I had smelled just like lemon pledge and tasted the same and had a great high as well,it is a very easy strain to grow and was ready at 56 days, I think you will really enjoy it and for T.G.A I wanted to try the Dq as well I think it will be good,but im still hooked on the J.T.R!

The sunset limited sounds nice no experience but i got a pack of Jamaican OG and Jamaican D,hopefully crack them soon!

and that jack looks really good for only 7 weeks!!

Hey Motherlode thanks for stopping in and for the welcome! I appreciate the comment about the nugs I was really happy with how everything looked during the first grow just wish I didnt have any PM issues and could have taken it the full 9.

MitchyNugz!!! Thank you so much for the info and for the pics! That OGiesel looks freaking awesome! I would be very happy with a straigh lemon pledge pheno! Esecially if it finishes in 8 weeks on the dot that sounds awesome. Well ill keep you posted about the DQ... ive heard good things and ive also heard that it lacks potency. Only found a couple grows of it online and it looks pretty nice to me but cant judge potency until you medicate with it. I am very interested to hear how the Jamaican's come out! Let me know when you do decide to pop em!

OGR white fire too!!!

Well it looks like a have a couple more beans to pop and put in with this grow log. I just started soaking a couple White Fire from OGR. They will be about 10 days behind the others but I just cant wait til next round to pop these genetics!!! Thanks again OGR!

7-22 update

So everything is looking good. I think its been 5 days since the last pics. Dairy Queen 5 is officially a dud. I tossed it and it has been replaced by the Sunset Limited. Here is a pic of the Dairy Queens with the Sunset Limited up on top

And here is a pic of the OGiesels. They are all doing great. Number 2 has steadily been the one cathing my eye, but they are all going good.

I tossed 2 of OGRs White Fire seeds into soil on Wednesday so as soon as I see green poking up through the soil I will add them to this log as well!

Okay sorry about the delay for anyone whos been looking for an update. We are Id say about 5 1/2 weeks into these beautiful looking plants life. About 2 weeks ago I transplanted them from the red beer cups into some black #1 pots. I decided to mix up my Fox Farms Ocean Forest with some coco coir to see how they like it. I have to say im very happy with the mix so far. Id say I went about 3-1 O.F. to C.C. So its bascially just to help with some drainage and maybe give the roots a lil more friendly envionment to stretch out in. Believe it or not I havent fed them anything just went with what the OF has in it for this long. I will probably start feeding with the Earth Juice 5 part organic line in this next week just to make sure they arent lacking anything. Well here they are im hoping to be able to sex them in these pots before transplanting to something a lil bigger before flowering. The Flowering tent is nearing the week 6 mark. And I believe most of the strains should be done in 9 weeks. Leaving us about 3 more weeks plus maybe a day or two before these guys are headed into flower. Oh everything has been topped once so far and ive begun doing a lil LST just to see if I can get some more stuff popping up.

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah I was stoked to be able to grab them at a local so cal collective! Hope to get a whole lot more OGR gear in the future!
