Got an aphid offensive on one of the plants! Ordered 1000 lacewing larva, and some of the boxes to hang on the plants! Won’t get here till sometime next week! That gives me time to get the ants under control! Time to try something new! A fool and his money! Lol! There are actually some natural lacewing eggs scattered around the garden, but not enough to take on this! Cowabunga! The price of the larva and the boxes was probably around 36 bucks! But the overnight shipping more than doubles that!

If you’re not too far into flower you can blast them off with water, it’s a stopgap measure until the killer bugs get to you, but it works short term.

That’s what I usually do! I just wanted to give this a try! Sometimes you can spread them if you’re not careful when blasting them off with Water! And these things have at least a month to go probably closer to two! Just checking it out! So far it’s only seems to be one plant! But we know how that can change!

Yeah, you’re killing it! Hope the weather keeps cooperating! Looks like yours will make some killer Concentrate! Nothing really new here! Things don’t change much from week to week! But mother nature decided to have a little fun and throw some pest action at Me! Doing stuff like that really tickles her! I wouldn’t have her any other way! I made up a few DIY ant baits, and put them out in the pot! Didn’t see any ants then but I think they will be out when the sun goes down! I want to see if my tiny Trojan horses are lined up at the trough!

Are the ants going after the honeydew from the aphids? Ants usually aren’t too much of a problem, but can cause a little root damage if they set up a colony in the bag.

Last year I had 5 Granddaddy Purple Autos and by the time they were finished the only purple one had all the aphids.

I’m not positive that they are! This is kind of just getting started! Could just be a few running around on the plant! But if they are farming, they have to be dealt with before you cut loose the predators! Yeah, I don’t know why they choose one plant over another if they even do! Could be just chance! That’s why I don’t like my plants touching each other! Would like to confine it to one plant! I’ll take a closer look today! This time of year I flood those bags pretty good so the root zone should be pretty inhospitable. Never had a problem with ants by themselves! They don’t do any damage!

Yeah, I don’t think they like it! They never take more than a bite! But just like they keep walking out in front of cars after 100 years, the next night comes around and they have forgotten They don’t like it and take another bite! And a lot of bites can add up! Lol! Plus up there, there are a lot of edible alternatives compared to this wasteland down here!

So, the plant I yanked is dried and in the jar. Tried some last night, smells great, tastes pretty good too. I’d guess about 10-12% THC.

Well, they arrived! Got some cool weather so I took them out and distributed them among three or four plants! I guess we will see in a couple of weeks! I hope they know what they are doing because I sure as hell don’t know what I’m doing! Lacewing larva! They have to be put out the same day that you get them! This is actually a karma test! If you have good karma, they will eat the aphids! If you have bad karma, they will eat each other, and the aphids will flourish!

It may not be too late to get some ladybugs if the larvae don’t work out, only problem with ladybugs is they have wings! I’m rooting for the larvae!

Yeah, I kind of blew it when I ordered! I got the bottle of these and the little boxes to put them in and kind of went nuclear on the infected plant! Put like four boxes on it! That left about three boxes to put on the plants around it! But that leaves four plants unprotected! I should’ve ordered some cards of lacewing eggs to put on those for ipm! You want to anticipate your need and get it all in one fell swoop when you’re shelling out $45 for overnight shipping! Lol! I was surprised at how tiny they are! But lacewing eggs are tiny, so shouldn’t be! It’s not a jar of fearsome nightmare predators! But eventually they should be! Just having fun! Might learn something!
