Well many thanks @Oldchucky 🥰 sure made me smile! I fully agree with what you say, seems you, like me, feel it’s not our place to arrive perfectly preserved, but rather come sliding in sideways yelling hellllll yeah, what a ride!
Long and strange is an understatement! I wouldn’t trade a minute of the memories. In the end that’s what we have, and if ya real blessed some darn good homegrown to go with them.
Hear,Hear! I’ll drink to that! Yeeowza! L O L!

When we were little tots in Indiana, my grandma would give us prunes as a treat. I guess it was her way of sharing her stash! L O L! Come on granny, keep an open mind! They are cheaper than Metamucil!

Anyone under the age of 50 that is reading this, it’s just shaking their head and thinking, Jesus! This is what I have to look forward to? Just kill me now! L O L
Tooooooo funny! My strategy is to never tell them as by the time it happens to them, it’s too late! They are much more accepting and understanding at that point lol.
Honestly tho, I do a lil dance every birthday and I remind myself of so many friends and family that were not allowed this. I make the most of every single day. I have had a good life. From here on out, it’s all just bonus 🙂

Ha ha ha! No hornets, NF. A few yellow jackets is all. The deer come in during the night and clean up the ones that fall to the ground. Excellent freestone peaches. But more than I can ever use. Same with the cherries. Most of them wind up feeding the wildlife which is fine with me! Was just listening to some Hendrix, born under a bad sign at about warp 10. Bet you got a nice fire going. Been warm up there. But you and I know that won’t last forever. Plants are looking good. Au natural! Enjoy brother! Don’t be a stranger. I’ve lived in tents for six months at a time. Lol.

Thanks, not Frankster. I worry more about the animals than you. Lol! And I hope you might consider using this thread to keep us updated on your exploits. It’s pretty much an open thread they’re kind of meanders all over the fucking place like a river. And have always subscribed to the Frank Zappa philosophy that nothing is taboo! I am out with the girlsSo will post a couple of pics. Talk to you later.

Damn, looks bone dry out there! It’s weird here, everyday it’s sticky monsoon weather but not much rain, I wish I had some outdoor auto’s going. Those trees are fat AF. How often do you have to water them? When do they usually flip to flow, late Sept?

Howdy Arizona! Yeah it is dry here. Probably 15% humidity during the day up to 40% during the night. I think that’s what makes this possible. These temps with high humidity would probably be a crash and burn scenario. The pots that are off the ground are approaching needing water twice a day. And a lot of water. The ones on Can probably go once a day with a good soaking. The low humidity allows for a lot of evaporation which in turn seems to cool the roots to a degree. You definitely don’t want to let them dry out completely. One just flipped, and the rest should start by 1 September. Kind of have to wait and see. I look at your weather and see the heat and the monsoonal moisture and the problems you have with it and thank my lucky stars that the humidity is low here. That seems to be the difference. I think these plants and us have some similarities. When it is hot and humid we are miserable. When it is hot and dry it is tolerable. Another benefit of the Super dryness is a lack of pests. Only problem I’ve had with pests so far is turkeys sticking their necks into the cage and nipping off branches! L O L! Took me a couple of days to figure that out! my fault, the cages weren’t big enough. Simple as that. Still have a long way to go and many pitfalls ahead, but I am happy so far. The guys down in the Valley south of us know the feeling. Visalia, Bakersfield, Modesto etc. they make it work. So give me blazing sunshine, super low humidity, fairly large pots, and it can be done. But it is a lot easier when you ask mother nature to dance with you Instead of starting a fight with her. Sorry for the long winded Ness, but it is good to hear from you and I hope you don’t give up on it. Probably finish around mid October. With any luck!

L O L sambapati! How often does the opportunity to use the term, meander, in a sentence, arise? When you do get a chance, you have to jump on it! Ha ha
