Only use pine for kindling! Thanks for the offer! And don’t use much Kindling! Stove pretty much runs from mid November through April! Just Bank it every night! Butte county is tough on wood stoves!
Used to be how we did it with our woodstove but ran it till end of May. Then built a fire in the evenings it would still be going through morning so it was warm downstairs but upstairs it was chilly.

What would take on a skunk?
The main predator of skunks are great horned owls, birds, (except vultures) have a terrible sense sense of smell. Way back when, I was a Federal security officer, and one Saturday I was patrolling a 7 story building, when I entered, it smelled faintly of skunk, as I went up the floors, the smell got stonger, by the time I got to the 5th floor it was very strong, and I realized what probably happened, so I went to the seventh floor, and up onto the roof, where I found that a great horned owl had caught a young skunk, and literally filleted it on top of the A/C unit next to the air intake!!!! Maintenance had a good time with that one.

Yeah it is. I believe All new construction has to have some type of rebreather thing? I could be wrong don’t quote me haha!

I think you’re right! Has to be EPA certified! And on certain days, they still won’t let you burn! I think that will be in Shasta County’s future also! They are the two Most populous, counties around!
Yeah, my buddy built a place in the Chico area, and his fireplace literally had a catalytic converter on it. The "No Burn" days don't apply if wood is your only source of heating.

Yeah thats crazy! At least they have the exceptions for only wood burning heat.

I'm glad that Kern County doesn't bother us up in the mountains with their no burn BS. I would much rather burn wood for heat in the fireplace than go through another winter of trying to run a forced-air heater on propane at the rate of about $800 every 4-5 weeks.

There's another exemption for elevations above 3000 feet.

Same here, I burn a few times in October but from November on it's steady fire thru May, but in 23 I burned a little bit into June!

Still got to do my clean-out and replace a couple of fire bricks too, I usually do that in September

💛🧡❤️‍🔥💚🤍❣️💓 I think I’m in love! Do you mind if I give your sister a call cheesy? I’m liking her picture! And if it’s not too much to ask, how about your mama and your grandma also? Got any brothers?😂😂😂
