We have turkey buzzards in large gangs around this area. They do a lot better job cleaning up road kill that the local government does.
Where I live is near a large bike trail and had some great roads along the Little Miami River. A while back driving with the wife along the river road we came upon a huge gang around some road kill. There has to be 30-40 birds all scrabbling for a slice of possum pie. In large groups these things are like a gang or eco freaks blocking a road. You just wanna drive into them but you don't wanna hurt your car.
So we get passed the gang with much flapping and honking and what not. Down the road I see another pack that thinks it rules the road
A group of bicycle riders.
The whole ball o wax, high tech multi speed bikes and everybody is in sponsorship clothes that they bought.
Heading right for the possum eaters.
So I honk the escape around cause I am not missing this. This has the possibility to be a million dollar video on you tube if it goes down right. The battle of Mason Morrow milgrove road. It was going to have its own historical marker along the road.
So we come up on the corner where you can see the birds and the biker gang has stopped. Seems that a discussion was going on. Some guys waving others just standing.
Then as one they turn around and retreat like the Tour De France hit the German Lines in 39.
It. Would. Have. Been. Epic.

Yeah, that is a lot of their downfall! They are cleaning up a roadkill and some asshole just runs them over! Some people are pitiful! I carry a shovel around with me when I come upon a small kill I stop and throw it off of the road! And I’ve dragged many of funky deer and thrown them off of the road! Just knowing that some dickhead is gonna get his jollies by running them over! Or maybe more appropriately her jollies!

When the sun comes up in the morning, all of them just stand there on their branches facing the sun with their wings kind of spread soaking up the warmth until they are ready to get back after it! A pretty trippy site!❤️ magnificent birds! Seldom see them flap their wings! They just ride the thermals all day long until they get lucky enough to find some unfortunate pot grower! Beautiful animals!

I hear you! That’s what freaks a lot of dumbasses out! But I asked mother nature about that and she said it was one of her proudest designs! Had to come up with something that was easy to clean after it was plunged into a rotting gut pile!😂 don’t ask me why turkeys are like that! Ha ha! I have seen people swerve out of their way to hit a possum! Poor things! I was sitting outside after dark one time, and my golden came trotting up with something in his mouth! What the fuck you got Charlie, and he dumps a full grown possum at my feet! I shined a light on it, and I noticed just a little flicker in his eye! Got up to get a beer and came back and it was gone! Talk about nerves of steel!😁😍

Seen a mother crossing the road once, whole family hitchhiking on her back, there was a pile of them

Yeah, they are survivors! They can be some mean acting little suckers. They can’t do much harm! If the Bluff doesn’t work, they play possum! Only marsupial in North America! Not the brightest critters in the world! But they are a fellow four legged mortal! So why not just let them be on their way? People get up tight about them! Same with vultures! Probably a consequence of growing up on video games instead of out running the fields! I think they also got a rap for transmitting leprosy! But it’s not the feared disease that it once was! If you leave them alone, you have zero chance of getting it! Kind of like snake bites and rabies!

We have a ton of wolf spiders around here! The moms will carry the spider lings around on her back for sometime! Makes them look like big intimidating monsters until the little one scatter! Trippy stuff!

Just don’t get pissed on by 1 may aswell get skunked was camping with the family heard what I thought was rain so got up to make sure nothing was left out long story short it wasn’t rain😂👍

Possums are harmless......came face to face with a few in the dark, out in the backyard.....reached for a trusty hockey stick as any good Canadian would do, by then he put his teeth away and scurried away.
I don't mind the skunks using the yard as a shortcut either.....they keep the rats at bay
We live between a conservation area and the Mennonites farmlard

We don’t have skunks thank god I imagine getting sprayed by 1 wouldn’t make for a great day 👍😷🤢

Hey @Oldchucky thinking of chucking a hungy on the Pacers to beat the Thunder tell me I’m stupid and go buy beer instead didnt beat em in the regular season at home yea I’m mad😂👍 do get a 50$ bonus bet back from Sportsbet though might just chuck 25 on em for fun and buy beer aswell 😂

I don’t think I’d bet against the thunder! Unless I got some pretty good odds! But it’s always fun to put a few bucks on the game to keep things interesting! The thunder are a pretty tight team!
