Not sure what you’re willing to spend on nutes, but you should look into Gaia green. It’s a great set it and forget nutrient! I would still make myself available to apply a top dress of the flower food : )

Oh I do! That will start in October, my garage has real good conditions in the winter. 7.5ffx7.5ftx7 tent, an HLG 550 watt, and a couple Bestva 200 watts. The ones I’m watching were just volunteers from some used potting soil I planted trees in at some mountain property.

I have a couple on the vivosun self-watering bases inside and that's been working real well, first time using those and quite happy with that. The thing about those however is that they're only big enough for the 5 gal bags. I haven't been able to find bigger ones. Outdoors here irrigation systems are essential and it's quite convenient for me to use that outside.

When next I do outdoors again I'll be using the 15 gal bags at least and the irrigation setup will be a breeze after I get everything dialed in.

My problem here was a couple dim wit blunders. I should not have placed that bag in a pot that didn't have drainage, really I knew that but did it anyway duh. Secondly I was late getting my irrigation setup going and had less than two days to test and tweak it.

@Oldchucky hey you’ve mentioned UV lighting at night to hunt for caterpillars… is this something i can get on an end cap at auto zone? I got some buds happening (kind of surprised) now i need to make sure the damn things aren’t getting munched on and shit in!

All the UV light does is make dead plant material or moldy plant material fluoresce a bright yellow! Healthy plant material shows as dark, green or dark red! The cats don’t fluoresce! But you can cover a whole lot of plant material, including the interior with a UV light at night! An old black light from the poster days would work OK if you can come across one! Thrift stores might have them cheap! I just use a 16 buck flashlight and can knock the garden out in about 20 minutes! UV just draws your attention to trouble spots! The one I have is like this and it does the job!

if you have fixtures laying around, you can probably just get a tube or a bulb and go that route! May just be able to screw a black light bulb into your trouble light! Electricity isn’t an option for me!

Seek and destroy! Luckily, don’t have much of a problem with them! But it’s fun to go out at night and mess around with the plants and the surrounding area! UV might not be so helpful if your plants are covered in p.m., got cats up the ass, or Budrot running rampant! Don’t know how well it works on wet plants either!

Around here they use those to spot scorpions, apparently they fluoresce at night. We haven't seen any yet, my wife tells the pest company if she ever sees one they're fired!

It's reaching for the sky, I've been tying it back some hoping it might fill in some more but it's healthy and green it seems.

Hey Chucky sorry if I’m just missing things from not being too active anymore, but did you ever dive into the landrace variety’s?
I’ve got my eyes on a few I plan to grab and do some work with, and have been doing some climate research on the regions.

Interestingly enough, I believe some areas in Pakistan will have the best suited genetics for Oklahoma humidity haha!

Morning LB! Yeah, that’s pretty much all I play with anymore! It opens up a whole new world for you! I think you can do well with them indoors if you just pick the right variety! I haven’t found them to be too persnickety! Give them some water and some decent soil, and they will reward you! If you can keep them tame! Aside from the banks, I haven’t had any problems with, the real seed company, or the land race team! There’s some pretty wild shit out there!! I think you would enjoy messing with it! the Jade nectar YouTube site is a good place to find out a little about land races! I grew two varieties last year and have five going this year!
