I've never heard of the driveway method, I just follow the directions on the bale. You don't have to decompress it, you just have to re-hydrate it. Get yourself a big bucket put in the bale and add water. The rest happens automatically. Finding the right amount of water is tricky. I can't remember how much but you can start off with less and after it is all soaked up add more. If you end up too wet blow a fan on it until it dries to the right consistency. I store mine in a tote a little on the dry side so it doesn't get funky.Probably 5% runoff, and i let them sit in that tiny bit of runoff. tks
Thanks for that link, im reading it now.
Tried flushing abit. the bottom of the floor smells like a fish tank. watered at 620ppm, stronger a,b nutes for the magnesium and calcium is the hope.
i let some plants sit in runoff (in previous posts) and runoff appears to be 830ppm today .
vented tap water is 148ppm
i think i debuffered the coco and made more surface contact area (messing up the calcium magnesium ratio in the coco) when crumbling the coco from dry compressed bricks (botanicare)
the only post i read on decompressing coco bricks was to do it in a driveway wrapped in a sheet. i didnt go that route.
wish me luck please dude's and dudette's, ive got alot of future riding on this
flushed them, yellow plants had 900ppm, green plants 120pmm (true i swear, though maybe i misread the pen)
What's goin on there bud? Looks like somethings off hey?
I think they are looking good and growing fast. They've greened up and doubled in size in the last week. Keep it up.What's goin on there bud? Looks like somethings off hey?
Why are ya letting it sit in the runoff btw? You should really let that drain away from the media. If you let her sit in the swamp water you can get root issues.
Looks like your plants roots arent feeding for one reason or another, either the right ratio of food isnt there at the right ph or the roots themselves have been compromised somehow, salt lockout or root rot or something. Its either nutrient related or root health related. Figuring out which is the first step in diagnosing this.
