Blueberry under LEDs

Anyone who happens to be stopping by what are your thoughts on just plain watering no nutrients the last 2 weeks of flower? I understand this is quite the debate... I use GH flora nova series plus cal mag.

Im still shopping around for another QB for the next grow but I dont think Ill be shelling out the cash for another sf2000 unless they go on sale.

Those lookin hefty my man haha nice..i would do 1 more week of nutes and then just water.. although who am I.. just feel like they may bulk more even..

I meant to post this grow earlier but pictures of plants in veg is boring anyway. Im currently 4 weeks into flower and I'll be germinating seeds soon for my next grow, some cindarella 99.

Initially I started the grow with just a mars hydro 700 blurp but it left me feeling underwhelmed. So before flower I made sure there was a spider farmer sf2000 in place beside the mars to double down on light. And of course I wanted to get on the QB train. Now I'm not complaining about the mars (yet) but I like symmetry and shiny things... I would like to run another sf2000 or maybe one of the QB options from another manufacturer. Open to advice and help from anyone with experience!

Ancient Astronaut theorists say the last 2 days of the plants lives should be lived in total darkness. The plants think the world is coming to an end and send tons of resin shooting to the buds. I did the 2 days of darkness (in my homemade mummy cage) and the plants grew nicely during that interval.

Is this 2 days of darkness before flower..
Or 2 days before harvest?

Both answers are correct -- 36 hours before flowering wrap up the plants tight with no light. 48 hours prior to cutting the buds again complete darkness. I've personally just completed the preflowering with 40 hours of darkness. I was totally surprised how much bigger and well rested they looked. So many other websites also mention this 'hours of darkness' recommendation that it might merit turning into a grow FAQ.

Thanks guys. This is in fact my first rodeo. So you think 2 days of dark before harvest is worthwhile? Im just a few weeks off I might give it a go.

Ever cut the stem a few days before harvest? Not all the way thru but supposedly to put the plant in protective mode and double down the thc at the very end. Not sure if I should bother.

Had to tie up one of the stalks to keep the ol girl from tipping over. Gotta be a good sign right??

Halfway thru the seventh week and they look just delicious. I think the two plants under the @SpiderFarmerLED are doing better than the two under the Mars but I plan on drying and weighing the plants separately of eachother and reporting back with the results. I could sure use another board to push this tent further. Next grow will feature a scrog

Will you do 2 days in darkness, add honey, slice partially or any of that other as you near the finish jar?

Ill give em the 2 days darkness with a before and after to see if it makes a difference. Not planning on the slice and dice.

Whats the honey deal? Something like using molasses at the end? Should i give it a shot??!

Ancient Astronaut theorists say honey is money on other planets. Either one 1 tbs per gallon as a treat towards the flush, molasses is harder to dissolve in water, most people have honey on their shelves.

Bud from the mars hydro II on the top net and bud from the sf2000 underneath. I should have it weighed up at the end of the week and Ill post a comparison with some bud porn. This weekend Im making hash and transplanting my cindarella 99 seedlings into big buckets, maybe give em a taste of some real light too.

Final update for anyone interested. Cut dried and weighed I harvested 246.5 grams under the mars hydro ii 700 (340 watt) and under the sf2000 (200 watt) 242 grams. Overall 17.4 ounces from the 4x4 tent. Im very happy with the results, Im in the middle of jar curing now and the smell has been developing from an overwhelming peppery pine into a more herbal aroma.

These two lights are on the chopping block though and my hlg550 should be delivered by tomorrow. Never been a better time to support local manufacturing. Cheers.
