I was wondering if anyone has tried Bluelab's soil pH pen, that you push directly into the soil, rather than slurries or runoff/run-through?

I was in the market for a new pH meter and I ran across this thing.

If it works, it could sure save time and hassle. I imagine the soil would have to be pretty moist.

As with everything, there are different experiences.
Keep the money.
Works a few months well, then usually start the first problems.
Latest after the 1 year warranty, the thing is dead. For this, the price is much too high.
I just wanted to have said it...

I use the bluelab combo, the soil probe is very useful. I can tell the pH of the soil throughout my fabric pot, I just cut a 1” slit and make a hole in the soil and shove it in. I’ve had this combo for about 2 years now and calibrate monthly. I can’t comment on cost vs value, for me it’s money well spent.

Any updates? I was considering getting one.
