@Sailor Jerry Shame you didn't get any of those Goldstars to pop. Mine turned out really good.

Super-menthol-y smoke, with a hint of chocolate. Kinda like a Peppermint Patty haha. The high was fucking BOMB. Really pleasant ("pleasant" doesn't mean it ain't strong), happy and kinda hyper-sexual haha. I don't mean to be gross, but yeah, the Goldstar had me feeling like I had just sniffed a few rails and ate a fucking Viagra or something (even though I've never actually ate a Viagra). My girl got worked every time I blazed this one.

Really glad I still have six seeds of the Goldstar. I was actually planning on revisiting some of my old Bodhi grows from a few years back and planting six seeds each of the Apollo 11 f4's, the Goldstars and the SSDD's for my next grow. And maybe some of the Larry Lotuses. But then Bodhi sent me all of those Super Silver Haze crosses, so I was like,"Uh, okay, I guess I'm gonna grow those out..." Duh! And then he sent me his tester list and I picked a couple, so I guess that's what I'm gonna be growing next round. Either way, I still got some of those Goldstars haha! I'll get around to those eventually.

I need to #plantmoreseeds.

My Bodhi Mothers that Ive got running right now are Synergy, Cherry Hashplant, Clusterfunk, and Black Raspberry. Got some Phone Home and Acapulco gold in Veg right now. waiting on them to grow up so i can clone and sex them.

What are you guys using to crack seeds? Ive been having terrible germination rates the last few packs. and not with just bodhi gear. Ive got 6 out of 34 beans beans to crack lately and Im scared to throw more money away right now. I usually put 6-8 seeds on a wet paper towel on a glass plate. then I place another smaller plate upside down on top of it and place it somewhere warm like on my cable box for 2-3 days. I check it every day to make sure the paper towel stays moist. I used to have great germ rates this way but the last few times ive tried, ive struck out. I need to crack a couple more packs to find some new gear to run this year, but im holding off until I refine my process and quit wasting this amazing genetic potential.

You got any pics of your Clusterfunk, either the mother’s or some of them flowering? I’m super-curious to see how yours look, just because I’ve grown some of those out twice. I’d love to see pics of your CF’s. Or even your Synergy. I remember @Mr Bee had an INSANE Synergy pheno a while back, fat nugs just busting out all over the place. I always wished I’d have gotten those beans....

The CF I finished last round smelled insanely garlic-y/onion/gross armpit, but tasted very good: pine-y and minty and strongly hashy. How do yours smell/taste?

Just put 18 seeds Space Monkey, Wolf Pack, and D Hashplant in and they all popped. Buy some bottled water to sprout them. Your well water may have changed.

I live in central Northern Michigan lower Peninsula and my well water fluctuates I've had to use reverse osmosis because of it

All I do is throw seeds into shot glasses of room temp clean water. My tap is around a neutral pH of 7 and less than 300ppm for reference. After soaking for 24hrs they should sink and begin to split open and shoot out tails. Then gently put them into your medium tail side down, warm temps and good humidity also help.

I toss mine in a shot glass on top of my t5. Usually put a lil h2o2 in there too. They usually crack within 24h but i leave them til they get a good 1/4" root.

Thats worked for me too. Above my veg light has always been a good warm place.

I've kept that one so far, she gives a nice full spectrum experience, I have a lot more f2s to go through... So many seeds, so little space!

Its funny going back to the basics every now and then, Ive been doing this a few years now and Ive cracked beans from every breeder both near and far. But every now and then I need to start over as a newbie and rediscover the basics. It sucks when Im sitting on this genetic gold mine and watching my beans sit here and rot. Next beans Ill just throw in the dirt and Ill let nature take them where they want to be. Im gonna Keep an eye on the moon cycle and Crack some beans the next time the moon is in a favorable place for plants with leaf bearing crops. Now the moon is in a root bearing crop phase or a barren phase. Im starting to thing this hippy stuff is more than superstition. It might also have something to do with the fact that my beans are a couple years old and I dont store them in an controlled enviroment. Just in my bedroom dresser drawer next to my Socks. Guess I had better get cracking these old strains to clear my catalog and Make way for the new gear.

Hey mini, I got my girl a new camera for xmas last year, Ill make sure to snap some pics of my bloom room the next time Im home. Ive been working out of town the last couple weeks, so It makes it hard to spend time under the bright lights with the kids and family life and all. But I moved some Cluster funk, Black Raspberry, Cherry Hashplant and a synergy into the flower room last week and theyre getting a week of veg before we flip them into 12/12 and Then their off to the races!! I keep meaning to take some pics for this thread but Im always a day late and a dollar short because of work. One of these days Ill go pro and Spend lots of time with these sexy ladies under the Lights!!

I might try the moon cycle thing as well. There is some science behind it i guess. It definitely cant hurt.

I would have to go back and look but bodhi's book talks about planting and harvesting by the lunar moon. If I remember correctly doing this increases your harvests. This is one piece of information I want to try out....
