Yeah, I’ve grown Goji before, got two females that were VERY different from one another. One didn’t stretch at all, had really thin Sativa-ish leaves and yielded a lot of little buds. Smelled exactly like actual goji berries, too. The other stretched a pretty decent amount, had much wider, fatter leaves and produced bigger, chunkier flowers that looked nothing like the other pheno’s. Smelled kinda cheesy. So I dunno. I really just wanted to get into some of my old seed stock so I could feel better about getting into some of the newer shit next round. I planted the last six seeds of my Goldstar f4’s from waaayyyyyy back, too, but only one sprouted and it was just the cotyledons. No leafs. Didn’t grow at all. Trashed it, obviously.

I might take cuttings this round, just to finally start getting into the practice, although I don’t anticipate keeping the Goji around. I also started seven Time Bandits (WiFi 43 x GHash) and that’s something that I think I may wanna keep around, so I’ll probably take cuttings of those, if nothing else. This covid shit sucks, though. I need to get some rooting plugs and I’m real sick of paying an arm and a leg on shipping for everything. I had to get a fifty pound bag of rock dust about a month ago. Cost $20. Shipping cost $60. And I can’t find 6’ bamboo stakes anywhere except fucking Amazon, where it costs $75 for a pack of 25. It’s insane. I keep forgetting shit I need, too, so I have to do multiple orders haha.

In other words, yeah, I’m gonna start taking cuttings this round haha!

I feel you brother. I have been eying that Time Bandit. I fucking slept on the Black Triangle like a fucking idiot. Hopefully GLG restocks sometime. Is your local hydro store not open? The ones around here cut back hours, but thankfully never fully closed. Again, feel free to hit me up if you need any assistance with taking cuttings. I use a aeroponic buckets and usually get 100% success, even when I am worried about a cut or two. Temps have been higher recently, but I just put 28/28 cuttings into soil a couple of days ago. Already busting out roots like crazy on the sides of the cups. Life is good. Positive vibes...

They have Black Triangle seeds at Attitude. I dunno how you feel about ordering from them, but I didn’t have any issues when I ordered my Time Bandit seeds and the Appalachian Super Skunk from them. In fact, I just ordered ten more packs from them yesterday (no Bodhi gear this time).

There’s tons of hydro stores open around me, but all of them are out of everything. I had to drive to fucking Inglewood a couple weeks ago just to get pumice because everybody’s out of stuff, they don’t know when anything’ll be back in stock etc. Inglewood’s like 35 miles away, so....

What cuts did you just plant? Did you end up starting that Chem Kesey? Post some pics here when shit gets interesting!

I have ordered from Attitude years ago, but I usually try to order from domestic US seedbanks when possible these days. 10 packs? That is quite a nice little haul. What did you pick up? I planted cuts from some Tropicanna Cookies females, '88 G-13/HP, Stardawg, and Mikado. I did end up starting the Chem Kesey. About half of them seem to be Chemdog 91 leaning, judging from rounded leaf mutations that I have never witnessed in all of my years working with the '88 G-13/HP. I am taking another round of 28 cuttings tomorrow. The Chem Kesey, Cherry Queen and DLA11 will be a few of the cultivars that I will be taking cuttings from tomorrow. I will be sexing the rest that haven't showed preflowers and trickling them into flowering in my perpetual set up. I will do my best to post some pictures here when shit gets interesting. Positive vibes...

That’s right, I forgot you started those Cherry Queens. Those should turn out well. I looooove Stardawg, man. Kinda jealous you have that cut haha. I actually ordered ten packs of various Rare Dankness seeds, just because I miss that Chem-y funk. I ordered some of their Sativa/Haze crosses, too, but the majority of the packs are some sort of either Chem or OG cross. Hopefully they turn out well. I’ve grown their Tangerine Kush a couple years ago and liked it so much that I’m revisiting it this grow.

I feel you on ordering domestically, I’d prefer to do that, too, but it’s just such a pain in the ass right now. I don’t wanna go get a money order if I don’t have to and I really don’t feel comfortable sending cash. I can use my debit card for Attitude, which is what I’ve been doing. Makes me a little leery, but I figure I’ll just cancel my current card and get a new one in a couple days, once the order’s been sent. I dunno. Weird times.....

Speaking of rounded leaf mutations, @stanknugzz77 one of my Time Bandits kinda has that going on. It’s more like an “oval leaf mutation,” really long, thin leaves with rounded tips. I’ll post a pic of it tomorrow, maybe.

I have never grown anything from Rare Dankness. Sativa/Haze cultivars sound intriguing for sure. The cuttings that I have of Stardawg are from my seed plants. I started them from some that a homie sent me. I am putting my first Stardawg female into flowering this week. I am after some nasty chemy funk as well haha. Hopefully I find something close to that in the Stardawg or Chem Kesey. I always send cash tracked and I have never had any issues. I think the most that I have sent was like $450. The leaf mutations on the Chem Kesey are more rounded than usual and the serrations are less pronounced. The leaves look really similar to leaves on a tomato plant now that I think of it. I have enjoyed all of the cherry smells and the structure on most of my Cherry Queens so much that I started a second round of them. They are probably ~2 weeks from seed now. Positive vibes...

5/5 Lemon Wookie v2 up in red Solos.

4 Old Soul at 31 days and all are close in appearances with slight variation in lankiness. Mid type leaves and buds growing fast. Terps and stickies are here. Definitely a woody piney or wood oil smell today and gooey. Good size and no trouble at this point.

Pics, dude, pics! Haha.

Where’d your boy get Stardawg seeds from? Top Dawg? I haven’t seen any straight Stardawg beans around in a long time. And when I did see them, they were like $300 for a pack. Fuck that. I got a killer batch of Stardawg about five years ago, maybe six, that made me a fan for life. It burned real dirty, obviously hydro grown, so there weren’t any real flavors to speak of other than “hot smoke” haha, but the high was outstanding. Very smile-y and really pretty psychedelic. It didn’t have that uncomfortable heart-racing start that I associate with a lot of Chems. That’s the thing with Chems and Chem crosses, that fucking rushy, pushy, almost overwhelming initial thirty minutes that often makes me a little uncomfortable. Bodhi’s The Fuzz had that, too. One of the reasons I haven’t revisited that strain yet, even though it yielded really well when I grew it three years ago. Still have six beans sitting in the fridge, but I’m a little scared of it haha.

The Rare Dankness male that they use for a lot of their Sativa crosses is a Neville’s Haze/Trainwreck cross, which sounds real interesting to me. Got a Skywalker/Neville’s Wreck cross and a Grape Ape (Grape Ape! Remember that one? Haven’t smoked any of that in at least ten years....)/Neville’s Wreck cross. Both sounded interesting. Also got an Albert Walker/Neville’s Wreck cross. Sorry, y’all, I’m aware that this is a Bodhi thread haha.

Anyway, I’ll probably start a log here when I sow those seeds in the fall.

Re: your hydro-growing friend, one thing I’ve always read is that seeds typically do best in the environment in which they were produced, e.g. if they were bred in a hydro setup, they’ll do best growing in a hydro setup, bred in soil, they’ll do best in soil etc etc. I know Bodhi grows/breeds in soil, so that could’ve had a little something to do with your friend’s experience. Just a thought....

That's the exact point I was making my 2 packs of Snow Lotus were grown out in organic soil however my friend grew his out in a hydro set up but we both had no keepers so at that point I knew it wasn't just my packs! Like I said though ours did not look like anything like pics on the internet so who knows! I have been breeding my own strains for 31 years being self taught however my passion always took a back sit to family and job! Now I am retired I am soon releasing my own line of Genetics, once I settle on a name I'll let you guys know should be around Oct for first releases! Peace!✌

Where’d you get the seeds from? It’s possible that you got sent bullshit genetics. It happens. I’m not disagreeing with you, like I said, I haven’t been too impressed with my Snow Lotus crosses, either. But there are shady seed vendors out there, as well. Just curious.

I think you'll like the Rare Darkness gear. While I haven't grown anything by them, I have had a number of their strains that they grew. I was always please with their flower. In terms of their sativa crosses, I don't know if you were able to find any Somali Taxi Ride, but it's really nice! Good luck.

It hit me like a ton of bricks when you mentioned that fact because we both ordered from a new bank for the first time each because of a special they were running so possibly the real deal were switched! I have a photo of the last female out of 2 packs I had until I file 13ed her! This was the best looking one of 9 females in total as you can see it looks nothing like the Snow Lotus pics online!

I didn’t see any of those Somali Taxi Ride beans available, but even if they were, I wouldn’t have gotten them. I can only smoke racy Sativas like that when I’m drunk. And I’m trying to drink less these days..... haha. But yeah, I loved that Tangerine Kush I grew a few years back. And I got a little bit of their Star Killer a few years ago from Buds N Roses (fuck Kyle Kushman haha) that I loved. Great pre-bedtime smoke. That’s actually why I even started looking into RD gear, just cuz I was like,”Man, I miss that Star Killer....”

Anyway, this is a Bodhi thread. This is a Bodhi thread haha.

Were they actual Snow Lotus beans you ordered? Or was it a Snow Lotus cross? Because I don’t think Bodhi ever released straight Snow Lotus. And if he did, it was years and years ago. In any event, if you bought “Snow Lotus” beans recently, yeah, they’re bullshit. Is that what it said on the site that you ordered beans from? That they were Snow Lotus beans?

This one: https://www.greatlakesgenetics.com/product/red-lotus/

Looking for some good night time meds, and while it's been forever, I don't ever remember being couch locked like I was on Columbian Red way back in the day.
