Also wanted to respond to something from earlier in the thread:

can someone lay down some history on NDNguy and Jojo? From what stank said and bodhi says in interviews they sound like cool people, I’m curious what other cultivars they’ve had a hand in making and/or getting around.

Jojo made either the purple widow used in the purple unicorn itself, I can’t remember which. Not much info is available online about him.

Jojorizo was a personal friend of mine. For those who don't know, I'm sad to report he's deceased and has been for several years. He was a really interesting guy, quite eccentric to be very honest. He grew up in, and lived all his life in the Sonoma, CA area (where I live now). His real name was Joe Griffith. He told me his online name "jojorizo" came from a cartoon that he had vague memories of from the early 1960s that he recalled having the name "Joe Rizzo or Jojo Rizzo." He wasn't sure.

Joe didn't meet very many people from online. He had done time in prison, and was a bit paranoid. I was an exception because as it happened, when I mentioned in a forum that I lived very near to where he did, he invited me to meet him and we were good friends from that day until he died. But generally speaking, he did most of his seed trading through the mail and not by meeting people.

In those days, the cool online scene was Cannabisworld.com. That's where I met him. I was (and still am occasionally, on The Canna Cabana) Reverend Budbreath. Joe was a very unique guy. If fans of his work out there are trying to picture who he was, don't picture a hippie type like me. He was sort of a tough character, an ex-con like I said, stocky and a little dangerous-looking. His only visible soft spots were for his family, a few friends, the cannabis plant, and chihuahuas. He had a hilarious chihuahua named Casey.

Unfortunately, he had some health problems resulting from a bad drug habit he had when he was younger, and toward the end he lapsed back into it and I'm sure it contributed to his death. Problem is, I never did find out exactly, medically, what he died from due to the circumstances at the time and the financial pressure his wife found herself under. But I know he had Hep C and some other problems and my guess is that when he started using stuff again he introduced something that his body couldn't handle. It was sad because I think he would have made it if he'd kept it clean (cannabis and no hard stuff) and today would be a huge seed breeder on the same level as any of the larger names. He is the second close friend I've lost that way... I get sad and angry when I think about this too much.

Anyway, perhaps the most important thing for fans of his work to know is the most obvious: he loved the plant, and was passionate about combining the characteristics of two plants he enjoyed and hunting for results that resembled what he imagined and hoped for.

Lemons, I'll try to recall some of the things he was working on, but it's hard as this was like 2003, 2004, 2005. Blackberry Widow was his pet project... I remember he was really excited when he got the special Blackberry cut he used for that, as it consistently flowered extremely dark purple. He saw the cross as his signature strain. I remember that he was also working with Blowfish, and was crossing something with it but I can't recall what or whether he ever released it. He also had a vision for a Thai hybrid strain and was working on it with some kind of landrace Thai he had. Some people got the early versions of that, whatever it was. I recall him also talking about something he wanted to do with a Vietnamese Black. In truth, he was what some of you might call a "pollen chucker," that is to say he didn't go methodically through multiple generations, selecting and stabilizing. He was more like an artist, he just knew intuitively what strains would blend well and his f1s and s1s were really good, though unstable, obviously.

First let me say that that I'm on the spectrum. While effects can vary from person to person, my reaction can be real unpredictable. Just saying. Don't spend money based on my reports especially if you're neurotypical. Never mind phenotypic variations, lol. I had two phenos of LHP V2. One I didn't care for at all - very energetic - like can't be sitting still, racing thoughts. The other I'm pretty happy with - music is really good with it, light stoned feeling, functional focus, and a bit elevated. After some time in the jar it smells like lemon cheesecake to me. It's nice to vape - spicy and lemony. I probably won't grow it again, since even the one I like doesn't tick enough boxes for one of the types of strains I'm looking for.

Oh, yeah, I always take every smoke report I read with a grain of salt. Everybody reacts differently to strains. Shit, I myself will react differently to the same strain, from the same jar, two days apart, depending on my mood, how much sleep I got the night before etc etc. But the more info one can gather about a particular hybrid, the better. I find it useful, anyway. That’s why I document every single grow, from beginning to end, every time. Just tryin’ to be helpful haha!

Thanks so much! I had heard both of those names, but knew nothing of either. I really enjoy hearing the history and folklore of the strains and growers.

Hi all, how are you doing?
From what I've read, their strains are very recommendable. Can anyone advise which strains for Outdoor with flowering ending in late September, early October?

Here's a tent full of the Nikah #3 cut from Ok Clone Co.

awesome plant right here that's tough as nails and yields big dense fruit/fuel flowers with terps like grapefruit soaked in kerosene. strong too i'm sure it's testing in the mid-high 20's in thc if anyone cares about that. grew great outdoor in oklahoma last season too.

Are there are any seeds available with Nepali OG genetics? Several years ago I had some Goji OG and it was the best medicine I've ever used, and now that I'm cultivating my own cannabis I can't find a sample.

I don't believe Bodhi sells directly but there should be some places in Cali that stock his gear. There are quite a few online retailers as well, GreatLakesgenetics.Com is the site I use the most for Bodhi.

Dude, Bodhi hasn’t been on here in years. And what do you mean, is his gear “available” in LA? Do you mean clones? You won’t find clones of his in LA (I’m assuming you’re talking about Los Angeles, not Louisiana haha) because everybody here is only interested in OG’s. And fucking Cookies crosses and Gelato and shit. If you want to find clones, you’d be better served looking north, like in the Santa Cruz/San Jose/Bay area. There are plenty of clone stores in LA, just search “cannabis clones Los Angeles” or something like that. Then look at the menus to see if they have any Bodhi gear.

Just FYI, most of the clone places here are shady as fuck and really, really bad about getting back to you, as well. Your best bet would be to order some of his seeds online and grow them out. And if I have to tell you how to do that.... You’re shit outta luck.
