If by strange you mean BOSS, then yes. Hey Boss I remember you talking about using the drums like a year ago. Way to step up to the plate. Is this your first rodeo with these?

Thank Cap.
That was the easiest wrap i have ever done. Explained what i wanted and put an hourly employees on it.

Its a beast of a system. But very little work once up and running.

Yes i have ran 50 gallon next to the old school 27 gal totes.
Both times i was running my Jack herrer and they all out grew the room and hurt the yields.
I only pulled an average of 3.5 pounds per plant.
With my GDP I had hit 4.5.
What really sold me on the 55 gallons instead of the 27 was the plant health and vigor.
Each run the 55 gal girl was happier and healthier then the others. Also much larger.

You got my attention. Show the farm what big containers can ! Your Lemon Kush looks just like my black cherry soda.

What up thom.
I do believe the grower i got it from was given improper info.
The plant is short tight nodes and fat leaves. With a super sweet candy smell.
Unlike any (lemon kush) I have ever seen.

Those pics where from monday the first day in the system.
Today there are already 6 inches of roots. And all 1,000 watters running full power.
And they are loving it.
I will take some pics today. And do my best to get them posted.
And just a heads up all my grows are now done at the Co-op i am managing.
Started ppms where at 675. Temps 78, humidity 50%.

lol. i believe that's 4 tons of air conditioning, period, CO2, period, plus fresh air intake.

Bossman! good to see what you've been up to! 3.5 to 4.5 a plant + still working on improving . . . . innovation is the name of the game.

i'm afraid i've gotta lotta questions.

how many gallons do you put in the drums?
how large is the feed pump you're using?
how are you aerating? number and what kinda stones?
still hydroton, i assume?
can we see under the hood? how are you running the drains?
how's the root rot battle going?
what are you running water temps at?
how're you working cages?

Bossman, may I ask how many specimens are ending up at 3.5+ in an 8k room for example? And how big a footprint each takes up?
Thanks

Questions always welcome,
The system is still MPB. or RDWC.
Overall the system holds 360ish gallons.
For feed pumps i am running 2x3200 gph pumps.
1 for each run of 3 tubs.
I have 1 hi blow 80 and 1 alita 80 pumping into 12 inch membrane disc's in each tub. I will post some pics soon for you.
6 inch rockwool with hydroton.
The drains are all 2 inch PVC. I will get some pics of that for you soon also.
The roots are doing great. In all honestly (knock on wood) I havent lost a run to root rot.
But i am also waiting on a larger chiller. and rez temps are 68 to 70. As soon as it gets here i will run it at 65.
The cages i will also get some pics of. Coming soon.

Nutes also for now are H&G aqua flakes. Multi zen, drip clean,cal/mag,B52,Das boost, DM zone, epson salt,

Thompson i hope you dont mind me answering the question in the thread.
I think many can benefit from the answer.
The biggest key to the yields in this system. Are the genetics.
The system is a beast but the strain must be sturdy and not to bread out.
The christmas tree shape is so important. Most strains IMO due to breeding bush out wide and dont hold there natural shape. That shape keeps all the buds at a good distance from the bulb.
Also nute sensitive plants such as blue dream and others I stay away from.

Seriously 3.5 - 4.5lbs per plant?? How big were those plants? Must have been trees...
That's a mighty effective system you have in place to be pulling yields like that.

hahahahhah... nice container!

I 100% agree on christmas tree shape in a vert setup. untopped plant with tight nodes and big buds = big yields.

question:

You said you have drippers but you arent using them. You handwater the wool until roots hit the water, and then you let the roots pull the water up in to the cube yes?
