Brain Octane Oil or MCT

I'm planning on making a tincture for the first time? Anyone have any input on which is better to use Brain octane oil or M.C.T oil?
Which brands are the best? There are so many!

Brain octane oil?
MCT is excellent to use, I usually just use extra virgin coconut oil I get at Costco
I use a cold ethanol extraction then reduce it into coconut/ MCT oil or simple syrup
