My grow is currently 3 1/2 weeks in and my lil ladies are sick!!!! I over researched. I've done sooooo much reading and watching video's that I totally over did it. I saw a video of some 2 week old plants and they were alot bigger than mine, so I was under the impression that I was doing something wrong. My lighting was my first action to try and rectify the "stunted growth". I went out and purchased 2 500 watt halogen lights and placxed them approximately 10 inches above my babies:( needless to say when I checked on them about 4 hours after being under the lights I realized that I had made a HUGE mistake...I burned them:(. I immediately took the lights out of my growroom which is a small space. I have 11 ...5 gallon buckets in there and these pics are some of my worst looking plants and my best looking ones. I recently puirchased a fertilizer and used it on my last watering (yesterday) which is the first time i've fed them. ( also learned from a video that I shouldnt feed them until after 2 weeks)....ok y'all here are the pics PLEASE any advice would be GREATLY appreciated....and once again THANK YOU in advance. The advice is priceless to me.:finger:

Halogen...? Oh, my, well... that could be one of the problems. That plant food is a chemical salt-based fertilizer, go EASY with it, it'll be very easy to kill plants if you use too much. I've never seen a seedling behave that way, which ain't sayin' a lot. My thinking is that it was either the light or the food/soil, so I'll advise to going as simple as you can and not overloving the plant. Use CFL or tube fluoros for economy and appropriate spectrum for growing plants, too. Start with anything marked daylight, or in Kelvin ratings from 4,500-6,500K is pretty good. Higher is very blue, lower is rather red (in terms of wavelengths produced, not just what we see with the human eye).

for nutes, personally I found great results with Jacks fert lines, Veg&Bloom one part and Dyna Gro line.

Again for me, I like shit easy, I dont mix anything other than tap water, after letting sit. I use and make my own alfalfa tea for alternating feeds. I also incorporate a way of feeding by "making it rain" (a good h2o drench, then follow up with a "feed") I have been shown and seen they tend to "wick" the moisture faster after a good "rain" ;) . I veg in a happy frog amended mix (hf, coco, perlite, hydroton chow with a few additions) hand watering and for flower a 4x4 flood and drain on part of my tent and scrog on the other, then drain to res with top feeding. For me, the biggest thing I have began to learn is read YOUR plants, they will tell you what they want.

Again, good luck. Ask questions, dont fall for all the hype and enjoy the hobby ;)

Im assuming that halogen was a bad choice...my question is how easy should I take it with the fertilizer? I've used it only once. I've only fed them once. I've seen soooo many variations of how and when to feed. I mixed one teaspoon per gallon of water and I used one gallon to water 3 plants...is that enough? Like I said before im brand new and trying to get tips from the experts. THANKS in advance.

Don't feed seedlings until they show a need, ESPECIALLY if they're in soil. I don't recall what you said you have, but if it's blue and has high NPK numbers (anything over 10 is high in my book), then it's very extremely super easy to burn and kill them with the chemical salts. Quite honestly, this is where I personally prefer pee, because it's a complete fertilizer and diluted to 10% is perfect. Fresh is best.

Otherwise, if you're in the U.S. and can get a product called Super Plant Tonic, that's what I would advise you to use to get started and your feet wet. Blue Mountain Organics on eBay, they have a whole line now that's very well priced and extremely easy to use. The only reasons I don't use it anymore are that it doesn't scale up for me, and it's not certified organic.

House and garden are not organic although they are awesome nurse. The rootX is sick the amino treatment and the late extract is good for kelp. Great white is organic, I think and is seine for rooting, If you are going organic, it harder than you may think.l.lwas for..... So house and garden it is and amazing results. Just amazing, I recommend 100 percent, some may be haters, and that's cool, your gonna get that, but it's your choice, so do your homework, see what you like and ask on this and you will get answered. People on here know th stuff and read and try to remember. It's great having these forums to learn learn learn. Read read read. I read Mel kippers book and of course the bible, and the indoor bible. That wasn't enough. Gotta read these forums, learn from others mistakes and take advice. No one is gonna want make your harvest worse, we are all on the same team! Happy growing and ask away good man
