Lorax, I think using others gear for breading should be fine. As long as you work the line well. The 98' GB? You have hundreds of those beans? F2s ? Are you sharing? Do you have an idea for what to cross it to? Or pheno hunting?

He has garlic bud and vortex, gonna flood new england with it as soon as these silly bike clubs start realizing its potential! Shit's actually better high than anything ive had from reserva privada or bodhi atm! But i feel your pain on running 75-100 and maybe finding a handful of keeper type potential ladies and boys!
I hate being nice and watching greedy pricks take that generosity to greeedsville! Sorry for my rant, btw someone got their jaws broke in half for selling kiefed flowers in northern new hampshire, be careful not everyone is an ignorant college douchebag!

Imho a plant needs to be ran a couple of times before u can truly select ime in grooms I've had the same clone in the same room turn out so diffrent it's made me question if it's even been the same clone in the 1st place it all comes down to position things like rh and temp can be very diffrent from 1 side of the room to the other is what I've put it down too maybe any 1 else's thoughts would be good I don't belive for 1 second that's there isn't any breeders reading this that could contribute :)

Here is a method you may want to give a whirl. Not my method and I credit to Sam the skunkman

" Of course you can reduce intersex in any population. Use big plant numbers and only use the least intersex as parents. Intersex is not dominate, it is a recessive trait. Early males do not express intersex more then late males. Using STS to self a female will help show if a single clone has intersex traits as they will be expressed in progeny and then you can avoid them and the parent. It will take 4-5 years to come up with an intersex free line or a population that hardly expresses intersex. Most varieties have some individuals with intersex traits, some like Thai are notoriously intersex, but with work you can breed away from them, try and use intersex free, test any females with stress tests or by selfing the plant and growing the progeny, or both. Avoid using anything intersex, as intersex begets intersex. With South African Durban Poison I used the least intersex the first few years, then intersex free for several years, to create the intersex free population, not 100% but almost.... The first year they were all intersexed to some degree."

Hey @THELORAX802 I know this was an old post but I would like to ask you some questions, if you don't mind answering them. Did you receive your '98 Garlic Bud seeds from Bros.Grimm as testers or did you purchase them online? If you bought them online, from what website? Because I have been wanting '98 Garlic Bud seeds for a while now. Specifically because of is pungent aromas and because it's an Afghanica heirloom. May you please help me out? Just p.m. me when you get the time. I would appreciate it.

That is why I never became a professional breeder. Way too technical and disciplined for my stoner mind. It truly does take a special sort of person and personality to wrap your head around the process. Especially once into breeding traits in or out. Years of dedication and persistence along with failures. Thank the cannabis gods some of us have those qualities. :D

This is going to be a slow read but necessary. Do you have any ideas where I can find an idiot's guide?
