Had accident today and snapped over sideways the top of the plant. I think I got it set in place well enough, but I don't know if it's even worth trying to keep growing it now. What you guys think?
Can they even heal themselves? Or am I wasting
Broken
my time?

Continue, you have nothing to lose. You’ve done the right thing by giving it a brace and sealing up the wound.

Depending on how big the top was, it may be worth dropping the light wattage a bit for a few days. Give it a little rest. May turn out fine, I’ve broken stems.

thanks man it wasn't complete broke just snapped on one side. I did all I could think to do in a hurry lol. i hope it works out..you made me feel a little better anyway.

One of my main branches broke off last run a few weeks before chop time, I did exactly what you did with some tape and it finished great, no issues.

I just snapped the top off a plant a few days ago. 99% of the time when I bend/tie a plant down, it goes along with things just fine. Once in a rare while the top is too stiff and well.......snap. i have a theory that says it's going to be a male, we'll see.

Yes, you did right to put it back together, and it should heal, like a broken bone. It could take more than a few days, i guess wait as long as you can before gently removing your splint/band aid. But it should heal.

She seems to be doing ok today anyway. Hope she holds up for the last stretch.
Even when you take the wrapping off, it's gonna be weak. Your chances of it re-breaking are greater than the chances of the wrapping causing trouble. Wait as long as you can. Every day the top is still perky is a good sign.

Had one break off half way when I bent it. O my thing holding it together was a little skin.Taped up and was fine. There is a point of seeding if she is hurt to bad. She thinks she is dying and tries to reproduce. That is what I experienced once.

Don't agree. They get stronger in the split, but far more rigid.

The resiliency of this plant is incredible. I agree with all that said wrapping it is the best you could have done. Hope it heals well. Happy growing!! ✊🏼

That's called topping, you topped that plant good. The bottom branches will start to take on the grow juice and you'll get multiple killer buds now than just one..let her grow out man.

She is doing ok and going to fine from the looks of her. The other one I broke is doing well to. Top is gone on it completely. I went in the room other day, and they were so dried out and heat stressed I thought they were dead. After 1.5 gallons of water each today they look better than ever. The plants are strong, and I am happy with them. I got them from Seedbank if anyone is interested. Jut called seedbank nothing else. I got some GSC ex from ILGM. just got them in the dirt today. only have room for one in my grow room but I'm going to give the other two to my friend. Some of the seeds they went me don't look too hot, but they gave me 20 for the same price as seedbank would for 10. And most look pretty good so I'm not going to complain. My buddy is going to let me use his basement to really give this a proper go. can't wait till this weekend to go up there and check it out and work on it some.

I smash my plants down with my arms to fit when I needed them to. It's fine. Deer eat plants and they still yield.
