Hey farmers, new to the forums and would love to get some help with my 2nd ever bubble hash making process!

I'm using bubble bags, 190 microns for work, 73 and 25 for the product itself.

First batch 150 grams dry trim, I stirred like crazy 20-30 mins, done this twice over the same batch. Now i know it's not the way to go as I've been watching some youtubes but anyway,

got about 5 grams of 25 microns
and 10 grams of 73 microns

After a couple of days drying on a plate I took a little of each 25 and 73 micron rolled into a ball it was sticky and high quality! Both 73 and 25 microns were oily and mixed together very well just by using my fingers.

The next day, I rolled the remainder of 25 microns batch, it came out perfect, but the 73 microns did not, it turned out rock hard, I can't even press it with a hot bottle.

I've already started the second batch, gave it a much easier stir and only for 10 mins or so, 2nd round I'll do 20 mins and 3rd 30 mins. Easy stirring.

So my questions are:

1. Did I get the stirring volume \ timing right?
2. What's the best way of drying the hash? Looks like it dries out completely within 24 hours.
3. Is it possible that the first 73 microns batch was actually good, but I messed it up somehow? I might have pressed those hash pieces too much, pre - rolling into balls?

If you can lay your hands on some dry ice you can use the same bags. Your yield will be infinitely better in my experience and it's already dry.

I'm not an expert hash maker, but I usually make some with the trim and popcorn buds from any grow.

How old was the material you used? A couple of grows ago, I used trim that I had set aside, about 6 months before, and I didn't refrigerate or freeze it. The hash came out very hard. Using 2 month old trim did not give me that hardness issue.

I would suggest getting a few more bags, because I normally throw the stuff in the 25 bag away as junk. There also usually isn't much in that bag, unless you over mix, and break down leave parts. If your hash was green, you over-mixed.

Consider a 110. The 110 often has some of the greatest shit. Generally, the good stuff will be in the 110 and the 73, depending on strain. It used to be that Indica doms filled the 110 screen and sativa doms filled the 73, but that's not a hard and fast rule, by any means.

Thanks brother,
It really is some 6 months old trim I've been keeping dry in a bag,

Still can't figure how the first batch turned good on first place, then just 24h later it was too hard to ball? smh

That might be from moisture content.

I had quite a collection of various CO2 sift. Fresh it would all roll up but when dry it would fall apart and refuse to hold shape even with heat. I used both fresh frozen and dry product, buds only. Here is hoping someone can answer your question and give us both some hints.

Have had this happen to me in the early days.
Is basically the amount o FB contaminant in your collection bag as a result of too big a gap from work bag to capture.
Remember that what is in ythe capture bag is from that number up to the next bag. So in your 73 bag you have from 73 all the way up to 190.

I was taken aback when I got a 160 bag and saw the shot that gets collected but that I was trying to press unsuccessfully due to there being no resin present in that plant matter that gets through the 190.

I found 2 bars weighing 15g each of hash on the floor. (not sure what kind of hash it is) When i first found it It wasnt rock hard but after leaving it out in my room it is as solid as a rock? is that a sign to throw it away as dont want to risk smoking something bad. PS if it would help i can send images of it.

3 year old thread.
I gotta be pretty desperate to " find hash " on the floor to be smoking it but let us know how it goes.
And sure let's see what found hash on the floor looks like.
